Last time I wrote poetry I was anything but stable. It was all free verse, written without thought for composition or anything else.

Thought I would make a thread, wanted to share two new poems.

This is an ode to Death as I know her.. her intoxicating cold beauty.

Perfunctory dreary obligations
Oh sweet dreamy oblivion

Eros deformed and masked
Desire in its purest form

I implore you
You just smile and walk away

And you know I'm haunted

Wicked thorns and wicked horns
Lives torn
Lady of Death unborn

Wicked forms and wicked storms
Cold yet warm
Throughout the ages we transform

Wicked smile and wicked profile
Mischievous guile
Take your time but meet me for a while

Death
Dressed as if to meet a lover..

This is to her.. the quintessential dark witch. Blessings on her soul.

I enjoyed it...
I only write when I am "like that"...which seems to be most of the time anymore...

I am not a poet but, you my friend are...

Thank you, you are most kind. Feel free to share your poetry if you want. =)

Thinking of sharing some more poetry, not necessarily mine.

I love this one:

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times...
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it's age old pain,
It's ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star, piercing the darkness of time.
You become an image of what is remembered forever.
You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers,
Shared in the same shy sweetness of meeting,
the distressful tears of farewell,
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.
Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man's days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours -
And the songs of every poet past and forever.

This poetry is too sublime..

"Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it's age old pain"

I read it three times and had to stop...
Too much for my heart...
