The humpback whale was spotted off Australia's Gold Coast today prompting speculation it may be Migaloo , Australia’s most well-known humpback whale , although researchers believe this whale appears to small to be the giant Migaloo.

Regardless of who he is the video shows him to be a stunning creature.


Japanese Antarctic whaling starts this winter.

There have been quite a few sightings of albino cetaceans recently - dolphins and whales.

its like its enjoying the attention too.

became a star over night! these are super intelligent creatures, I'm sure it will make other sporadic appearances in the future

Nice....i lived 50 odd ks south of the gold coast and the whales are going past us heading north,they will soon return back past with their young,some of the young whales come so close into shore its amazing,there is a place called wattigoes justt near the byron bay lighthouse which is Australias most eastern point,that is great vantage point for whale watching...there is many dolphins and turtles,and unfortunately a few sharks which are scaring even the most hardened of surfers around here...
