I didn't even notice that there was a movie forum on here! glad i found it...ANYWAAAYS im a huuuuge fan of 80's movies, particularly horror movies especially the B variety, I remember watching demons when i was about 13, my brother had it on VHS or maybe it was betamax (lol) and i snuck it in to my bedroom one afternoon when my mum thought i was watching Disney, that evening i climbed into my folks bed with them because i was convinced my brother was going to turn into a demon, and that happened for about 5 consecutive nights.

Watching both movies now its a cheesefest, but at the time i imagine it would have been classed as "scary"

demons synopsis-

A group of people are trapped in a large movie theater in West Berlin that is infected by ravenous demons who proceed to kill and posses the humans one-by-one, thereby multiplying their numbers.

Director: Lamberto Bava
Writers: Dardano Sacchetti (original story), Dario Argento (screenplay), 3 more credits »
Stars: Urbano Barberini, Natasha Hovey, Karl Zinny |

OMG I used to have a note from my Mum (when recently divorced and having to work late) to give to Bill the Videoman it said horror is ok but nudie bits is not allowed and me and my brother watched them both
.
The first was amazing the blonde evil girl giving out the flyers I fell in love with her at the age of about 12
.
Then my mate had a copy of the first and we secretly watched it.
Cheers for that going to watch it.

LOL...did you have nightmares too? or was that just me? i prefer the second one if i'm honest, first one is good but the second one is better which is unusual because its rare for a sequel to beat the original

Well my Dad put on Dawn of the dead (a video nasty in the UK at the time) on when I was around 7 or 8 which actually scared me for life
(young parents
) so nothing really scared me but boy I had zombie dreams.
But mostly I had nightmares about nuclear war they tested the sirens near me every week and I would run home thinking the bomb was dropping
.
Weird time I don't think some know how scary the cold war was.

You all across the pond say "beeta max".
It was the better format. Still strange on these ears, though.
Love how you say "zed" instead of "zee".

I know exorcist is a class A horror, but I watched it when I was like 9 and even though watching it now is boring, at the time I was so scared and had continuous nightmares.

How about evil dead the original?

When i was a kid i remember watching every horror movie i could get my hands on at the video store.

But only 1 or 2 ever gave me nightmares - The Friday the 13th movies and Childs Play.

Freddy never bothered me. It was that unstoppable Jason in the hockey mask. Had dreams of being chased by him, but my legs would just never work. Always running in slow motion.

Those where the days.

I love this film.
Its still a classic, that even to this day I still watch it.
The music is Brilliant.

My fave scenes are the car thiefs sniffing c#"?? out of the coca cola can,
whilst bopping to "Go west's, we close our eyes".

Demons 2 is still just as good as the first.
I really miss the 80s and the video nastys and beetamax and scotch video tape
and 1980s cheezy acting adverts and soda stream.....sorry, trailed off then.

not to forget, Billy Idols white wedding

the exorcist is in my top ten, and evil dead is a classic, all the evil deads actually, altho by the time they got to army of darkness it had gotten more comedic than scary lol
