THIS IS ABOUT THE WAY THESE FETUSES ARE BEING ABORTED IN SPECIFIC WAYS FOR MAXIMUM PROFIT AND BEING SOLD! NOTHING ELSE!

Why do people think it is normal for people to be haggling over prices of dead babies? WTF is wrong with you?

Is it that hard to understand?

The videos are edited to imply there's a profit. Harvard or Yale researchers probably would want the most intact fetus for proper stem cell research.

When does a fetus become a baby? Or when does it become a human life?

These philosophical questions are often difficult to completely grok.

So your second line is the question I asked you...Check

So it is legitimized by calling it a "donation".....Yep, check

Well that's what it IS.

It is now going to cost you a "donation" of $50 to post a question to me.....It's going into research purposes...Trust me

I asked for proof...if that is your idea of proof it is no wonder we disagree so often.

It's certainly better than any proof against those claims. How about posting proof that profits are actually collected by selling those fetal tissues? Oh THAT'S right all you have are a bunch of heavily edited videos that make it APPEAR like that is the case. So don't talk to me about quality of evidence. This whole stupid controversy is hinged on crappy evidence.

Look, that is all fine and dandy. I have always been for pro choice, and these videos don't change that.

My main point here is that some people are more sensitive to this issue than others. Why not find a middle ground here? Keep funding for PP, but instead use donations to fund abortions. Make fetal tissue a donation as well and give equal access to all researchers.

That way there is no possibility for corruption or profit gains. It will ease the minds of people who simply don't trust others, as well as the minds of those who don't want to be supporting abortions with their own tax dollars.

If PP funding for abortions is only 3% than it should be EXTREMELY easy to find enough money from donations alone.

??? How about showing some proof that women are FORCED to donate their aborted fetuses to PP before just jumping onto that train?

What about the testimony of bio-research experts?

We also asked experts in the use of human tissue for research about the potential for profit. Sherilyn J. Sawyer, the director of Harvard University and Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s “biorepository,” told us that “there’s no way there’s a profit at that price.” She continued in an email:
Sawyer, July 20: In reality, $30-100 probably constitutes a loss for [Planned Parenthood]. The costs associated with collection, processing, storage, and inventory and records management for specimens are very high. Most hospitals will provide tissue blocks from surgical procedures (ones no longer needed for clinical purposes, and without identity) for research, and cost recover for their time and effort in the range of $100-500 per case/block. In the realm of tissues for research $30-100 is completely reasonable and normal fee.

Jim Vaught, president of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories and formerly the deputy director of the National Cancer Institute’s Office of Biorepositories and Biospecimen Research, told us in an email that “$30 to $100 per sample is a reasonable charge for clinical operations to recover their costs for providing tissue.” In fact, he said, the costs to a clinic are often much higher, but most operations that provide this kind of tissue have “no intention of fully recovering [their] costs, much less making a profit.”
Carolyn Compton, the chief medical and science officer of Arizona State University’s National Biomarkers Development Alliance and a former director of biorepositories and biospecimen research at the National Cancer Institute, agreed that this was “a modest price tag for cost recovery.” Compton told us in an email: ” ‘Profit’ is out of the question, in my mind. I would say that whoever opined about ‘profit’ knows very little about the effort and expense involved in providing human biospecimens for research purposes.”

No no no no.....I didn't go there buddy....

I am talking about your link and the required "donation".....That is a charge, SELLING babies....Required donation amounts are reasons to not "charge" for a service....That is absolute B mother effin S in my eyes buddy!

ok fine.....let's make all heart, eyes, kidneys, and other organ donations free of charge for everybody

Look that is fine, and I am not saying I don't trust them. I don't doubt that they might be losing money in some cases.

There is however tax dollars going to PP, 3% of half a billion was it? How much is that being factored in to offset these losses?

If it is going to reputable research organizations, why not make it equal access and donation based? That way they all can do their studies effectively and we don't have a market on dead baby parts/fetal tissue.

My current understanding is researchers all have equal access to the stem cells. They only reimburse the facility based on storage, the cost of acquiring the sample and transportation.

It's the middle man, like Biomax Procurement Services from video, that are BS and not subject to certain regulations as they can charge a profit for selling to other companies..

Speaking of donations Zuckerberg Donates $992 Million To Charity That Funds Planned Parenthood

Yes there are tax dollars going to PP - for non-abortion services. The costs for abortions comes out of a separate account that is made up of fees charged for health services, along with private contributions.

There are costs involved in preserving and storing and transporting the tissue donation. If you believe that (and it sounds like you do), then whatever PP is getting from the bio-research companies just goes to help pay for those costs. And according to bio-research experts, it doesn't even totally cover those costs.

In the REAL world those videos can't be submitted into a court of law as evidence. So what do YOU know about the real world?

I think that is where we need to focus the attention here. The middleman services that are not subject to regulations simply need to be taken out of the equation, or at least need to be regulated.

People are sensitive about this stuff, why not make it transparent and with less possibility for corruption?

It reminds me of that South Park episode where Cartman tries to sell those fetuses he found.

"No no c'mon guy I got a guy in Cleveland who's going to give me $80 a pound right now, how bout a hundred? Oh your breaking my balls."

"These are primo fetuses Randy I wouldn't jerk you around. So what can your company give me for em? Oh Randy your breaking my balls here, your breaking my balls Randy."

"You tell me where you can get aborted fetuses for 70 cents on the dollar, you tell me Chuck. Yeah I didn't think so, you know I'm just like these aborted fetuses Chuck, I wasn't born yesterday either."

There are unedited versions of all the videos, most people can't be bothered to watch a 2 min video let alone a 2 hour video.
