They apologized.

Twitter account for BLM Seattle

They also issued another statement

Black Lives Matter Seattle explained their actions in a news release: “The problem with Sanders, and with white Seattle progressives in general, is that they are utterly and totally useless (when not outright harmful) in terms of the fight for Black lives. While we are drowning in their liberal rhetoric, we have yet to see them support Black grassroots movements or take on any measure of risk and responsibility for ending the tyranny of white supremacy.”

Gee, can we get a bigger #sorrynotsorry!

I just read the link...tried to format an answer, and can only say...are f*#&*!^ kidding me!!

Where I come from that's not an apology - that's quibbling, qualifying and not saying your sorry at all.
It's a "well whatever, doesn't matter because he never did anything for us".
Bernie Sanders will be so surprised to learn he never did anything for minorities.

Exactamundo!

Its a clinton tactic. I bet you they are getting paid by the clinton camp.

I hate to think politicians would stoop that low to do that but I think your 100% right.

These people are either epic stupid and just looking for trouble (possible), or they are acting as provocateurs for someone. Is Sanders really that popular?

Who benefits from this, and who looses?

1. This hindered Bernie's rally

2. This gave BLM bad press

What group of people would want to throw interference in Bernie Sander's campaign, and simultaneously paint BLM in a bad light?

Hmm...

EDIT:
Did some digging...some background info on one of the women who interrupted the rally:

Alone, we can surmise that she may have made a few questionable choices in her youth. OK, she was young, but Palin was a candidate for VP running against the first black president. But when I read down a little further, my benefit of the doubt limit had been reached.

"GOP shoulda groomed me right then...now they gotta see me on the other side *shrugs*"

For real? It's like that? This wasn't 8 years, or even 4 years ago. She posted that last month. So my question is, what kinda grooming would it have taken?

LINK

As I said early on, this thing smells.

Wow, nice find on the GoP grooming. Any way to tell if that picture if legit or not?

But, who would benefit from this? My guess is extreme right wing conservatives, or the existing state of affairs.

I agree somethings not right. But extreme right wing conservatives seem more likely to go after Clinton. She has after all been in the cross hair of the vast right wing conspiracy since birth. Unless of course what some of us have been trying to say is true and there is no real difference between the main stream politicians in either party, just rhetoric. It could be, right wing takes out Bernie, left helps take out trump. Mavericks gone, politics as usual??? Nah too much conspiracy I'll stick to the alien agenda, more believable

Bernie has actually stood up for civil rights throughout his career, and not just in America.

Here are 20 ways Sanders has stood up for civil and minority rights, starting in the early 1950s up to the present year.

Thank you for the link. I am still learning about him.

I actively participate in movements. Our goal, is to make sure every white person suffers.

#BLACKLIVESMATTER

Nah. Kidding. If I would have left the post without adding this additional bit, how many of you would have believed it? See how easy that was? With literally 10 minutes of using google ( and there's another thread here on ATS) it's clear that the interruption was not organic.

I see those on the thread looking to bash a movement for any reason they can find. Why is this I wonder? Is the the thought of Blacks having an equal chance at life in America so frightening for some? Are some frightened because 'All Blacks must be racist' ?

ATS has changed. At some point, I felt like this was the only place I could come to get away from `those` people.

No, it is because the fact that if you distinguish people through the color of their skin and protest against one group (black or white) that is the very essence of racism.
They are actively doing it, breeding racism with the result that it breeds anger, it separates black and white which will only fuel a stupid fire which is based on nothing but perception.

For what? are there separated rules and laws for black and white in America? or does it apply to all citizens no matter the color of their skin?

The two sides involved in the topic. Sanders and BLM Seattle. They apologized and recognize that Sanders is on their side. What more do you want?

Maybe for them to do a little research next time before making complete racist imbeciles of themselves? Yeah that usually is the intelligent thing to do before you go yelling and screaming about something like two deranged idiots. ~$heopleNation

Yep. ^^ This times 10.

Or maybe they just didn't want to escalate the situation. Just because people choose to behave badly, doesn't mean everyone chooses to.

But let me ask you both this. Just exactly how did you want them to act? A scuffle? A hostile debate? All hell breaking loose?

You used a lot of question marks. Are you a badly behaved teen girl?
There is nothing wrong with expecting people to behave in a civilized manner.
If you feel their actions were acceptable, then perhaps you might want to rethink a few things I your life.
