They tried to get Trump to pledge that he wouldn't go independent.

I think he saw through it, because if he said yes the news agencies could ignore him then.

Doesn't matter, he is not what TPTB want and that's good enough for me. You guys could keep towing that line with your media picked established candidates.

The only one in the media 24/7 is Trump; catch 22.

Yeah it was an obvious setup question just for him right of the bat.

Looking forward to the Trumpism in the morning in regards to the debates.

I thought Christie did quite well from what I heard of him (for a Republican), I'm surprised no one voted for him.
The answer to your surprise is located in what you just posted, my friend. Chris Christie is no Republican. RINOs get out!

If it supports your argument, I'm a total lefty and I took an awesome "on the issues" test to determine which candidates matched my stances the most and, while the top seven were democrats, the first republican to show up was Chris Christie.

No doubt. Super smart as he knows he's almost blackmailing them at this point. He can effectively hold the entire GOP election hostage with his footing.

When I take those tests, I actually get Democrats ranked above Chris Christie... and I'm nowhere near a liberal.

None of the candidates on stage tonight gave me a good impression. I don't particularly like Trump, but why not. At least I can tell when he is FOS. He says the right thing, but he says it with an attitude like he has to say it to keep going.

I think he would win against Clinton and probably lose against Bernie.

I think the point in which Trump really won me over is when he made his comment about Rosie...

... or are you...
duh DUH DUH!

I think I'm going to make a 2016 thread for that. It's foolproof because it matches you, literally, against the candidates actual voting records and not their rhetoric. I'm sure if you took this one, you'd end up with republicans on the top of your list.

LOL, no... even though I have Democrats ranking above Christie they're far, far behind on my quiz results. The last time I took the isidewith.com quiz and scored 88% Rand Paul, with a Rubio and Ben Carson not far behind. Christie and Kasich actually fell behind Sanders on my quiz... Sanders, I scored a 34%, Christie a 32, and Kasich a 27. I have no idea who Kasich even is, but he apparently is running as a GOP candidate!?!?!

I'm not a straight ticket issue guy, so my results on these quizes are usually a bit wonky. I speculate that my attitude towards drugs, campaign finance reform, and the Patriot Act tend to bump Sanders up a bit on my lists.

I'm not sure why but since the debate ended, Trump has fallen to 37% and Cruz has moved into 2nd at 15% according to the poll at Drudge.

So people who didn't watch the debate are the ones voting...

Not sure how anyone who did could come up with those numbers.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Trump didn't get asked the "tough" questions? And when he did answer, he never really had any solutions besides building the Great Wall of America.

Uh, about 90% of those replies are either mocking or whacking on what was said. The peeps in this thread aren't dummies and you'd probably get some chuckles out reading it all.
