Government taxation based on tithing?

OK.........

A 10% Flat Tax Rate is what Carson said he advocates. One has to listen beyond the first several words.

Anyone who bases their policy on their religion knows nothing about the foundation of this government.

Whatever his inspiration...wouldn't you rather pay 10% income tax? I sure as hell would!

It's not that simple considering the complexity of the economy.

Otherwise, I will concede that point.

One minute answers is too rushed. It's a debate where there is no information being allowed to be put forth. It's a "media sound bite debate". What a load of BS.

What a sham. This just makes sure that nobody has any chance of really discussing what they intend to do. They just have to lead with a bunch of empty BS talk and generalities and never get to the meat of it.

That's all elections are. There are many reasons details don't make for good campaign rhetoric. The majority of us are not experts in any given field. We do not have the qualifications to properly evaluate the details of plans, which are thought of in coordination with experts in those fields.

a 10% income tax rate would allow me more savings to purchase from, donate to...and invest in, many more businesses and charities.

We don't need every detail, but an overview of how they actually plan to do something would be nice. I'm sure we can understand that.

Everyone just gives some canned response with no actual steps to accomplish stuff. For example:

How would you fix this economy??

We need jobs. Jobs with good pay. Americans are out of work and need living wages. That means good paying jobs to help them and their families. Bla Bla Bla.....

Yeah, we all know that, but that doesn't explain a damn thing....
