Law of Attraction and The Need for Selflessness cannot both be true. Here's why...

The Need for Selflessness (Service to others) says that there are people who lack in the world and they are powerless and therefore cannot do anything about it. Law of Attraction says each individual is powerful and everyone is creating their own life experiences through their Thoughts/Beliefs/Vibration.


The Need for Selflessness says that there is never enough for everyone and therefore everyone should be selfless and whoever doesn't is negative/evil. Law of Attraction says our beliefs create reality and there is always more so when we believe that there is more good things for us we allow more good to come into our lives.


The Need for Selflessness says freedom is wrong and risks harming others so everyone should give up their freedom to serve others rather than self. Law of Attraction says that it is a Universal Law and it organizes everything based on energy. There is enough for all if they believe because beliefs create reality, so no on has to give up their freedom.


The Need for Selflessness says self-sacrifice for others is good and helps the world. Law of Attractions says that our beliefs create our reality and the belief that self-sacrifice for others is needed will just keep adding energy to that belief, enjoying oneself and knowing that all is well is better.


The Need for Selflessness is a belief based on the fear of lack. Law of Attraction is based a belief based on The Energy of Abundance.

Exactly what type of energy is abundance?

It sounds like a term invented by a marketing department. (New Improved "Pro-Nutri Wash" with collagen, fruit chunks and the energy of abundance for clean shiny hair that will cause blindness to others when viewed in direct sunlight).

Also, selflessness and selfishness need to be balanced. 50/50. That is healthy (love others AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF).

Look into the laws of the universe according to Hermeticism.

Abundance is the opposite of lack (need).

Abundance (+) is More, Increase, Plenty, Fulfillment

Lack (-) is less, decrease, need

The need for Selflessness is believed in because people choose to see lack in the world rather than abundance/increase.

OP, I am guessing you were born middle class if not upper middle class to wealthy? If you could tell me how you used these beliefs of yours to pull yourself up out of homeless and starvation, then maybe I might consider what you have to say.
Or maybe how you used these beliefs to free yourself from captivity or or feed yourself as a starving citizen in Somalia.
Tell me what challenges have you overcome with with this belief system.

You are focusing on lack consciousness. Of course, in lack consciousness (seeing others as powerless and lacking), selflessness is needed. Lack attracts lack to itself, but focusing on lack/negativity everywhere is not attracting positivity/abundance through Law of Attraction.

Either Law of Attraction is true or it is not true. If you have Faith in Increase, The Abundance of God, then you know there is more and more for everyone.

This post proves you have no conception of what selflessness is.

Selflessness is motivation for the common or higher good, over ones self.

It is not being powerless. It is exactly the opposite. It is being empowered beyond any restriction of fear that can be imposed.

Most are restricted by their personal fears, especially mortality. Religion cashes in on this one MASSIVELY!

The truly selfless have no fear of their own mortality, or of giving it up for the greater good.

This is empowerment that strips away the paradigm of fear driven into us by the Governments and media today. These fears cannot hurt the selfless. In fact, they actually serve to enflame them towards their purpose opposing the Governments and Media outlets who spread the fear and lies.

Those who are have no fear of dying, for the advancement of this world, are truly powerful.

Just one of them, more so than any Army, Government or Corporation on Earth.

Law of attraction is just a simplified and misunderstood version of harmonic and discordant resonance.

Transient energy aggregates and propagates in patterns relative to the frequencies which allow them to be released (or radiated) from the higher energetic fields.

This is why there is like for like. And opposing forces.

You are considering attraction to be a mystical force, when it is (commonly misunderstood) science.

The problem is that both religion and science are messed up, so that we have no basis for simple answers.

Think of flotsam washing up on a beach. It is there because that's where the waves put it.

Energy works the same.

Bigger waves carry bigger amounts of energy. Smaller waves can only carry the small stuff.

This is where the simplistic 'Law of attraction' emerges.

The choice to be selfless or at least neutral does push a being towards meeting beings that have reached higher level vibrations since you become interesting to them. To many selfless people who are aware the selfish are insane fools who have no clue that they avoid to not be infected by their insanity. They use their abilities to avoid them. When a being changes it will automatically attract their attention.

Just because you are going towards creating only harmonious relationships that are beneficial to all involved do not mean you have to create relationships that will include the insanest ones. It is easier to help the ones that are further along than the ones who are just beginning.

Humans and animals with strong telepathic and empathic do normally not show what they are if it is not in the right setting with the right receiver.

And to point it out I am in between. I meet spirits that are very much more aware than I. They are quite interesting.

To many selfless people who are aware the selfish are insane fools who have no clue that they avoid to not be infected by their insanity. They use their abilities to avoid them.

My energy keeps me away from angry people who feel like victims (yin) and makes me more drawn to happy people who feel appreciative for all of their blessings (yang).

There is much abundance.
There is much to appreciate.
Yang (fullness/abundance) Awareness leads to more Yang Awareness.

The word "attraction" is what leaves one spellbound and leads many to always continue missing the mark. The word "attraction" is an abstraction and distortion of the Law. This is why many who subscribe to these distorted new age philosophies often only have their words to show for it and nothing more.

What ones needs to understand in its proper context is the parable of the mustard seed....

There is NOTHING to attract, for all is done. The problem is most do not know WHAT they want or HOW to choose. To "attract" implies one does not already possess it....and therefore what one admits to (unconsciously and consciously) is always "reflected". This includes their doubts...

The two eyes of the soul of man cannot both perform their work at once: but if the soul shall see with the right eye into eternity, then the left eye must close itself and refrain from working, and be as though it were dead. For if the left eye be fulfilling its office toward outward things, that is holding converse with time and the creatures; then must the right eye be hindered in its working; that is, in its contemplation. Those who believe in the Law of Attraction are serving two masters at the same time....and this is why they will only have fluffy theories and nothing else to show for it.

Absolutely. Attract may not be the right word, but most people understand the name of this law as "Law of Attraction". Feeling like you don't have enough now and must "do" something to attract more is still lack. I also used words like "Abundance Consciousness" and "Yang Mind" (Yang representing Light, Fullness; while Yin is darkness, lack, and emptiness)

I feel you. Yet, there are many who possess "a state of Being" or "state of mind" that reflects this unconscious admittance of lacking something in their lives and therefore continue missing the mark despite all their philosophy that sounds good to the ears. One can indeed spell it out in different ways such as "yang representing light vs Yin representing darkness, etc" and yet, deep within the fibre of their being possess a different and unconscious state of mind that does not produce any fruit for the harvest. They are unable to see the harvest four months ahead of time as being already reaped...

To desire is to suffer because it is an unconscious admittance that one does not have what they seek. If one had millions of dollars in their bank account; would they still possess the desire to attract it...? Would they still foolishly remain in anticipation and excited that it on its way...? Would they still go about their daily business with their current mindset (thoughts, responses, and reactions)?

Only a poverty conscious mindset will entertain the Law of Attraction...and therefore create more of the same life they are leading.

At the end of the day, this goes beyond semantics, because words possess the power to form concepts within our minds and often times it's these concepts (beliefs) that exist within our conscious mind is what influences the subconscious mind (weaver of experiences by way of synchronicity) to reflect our subjective ideals into the outer world of appearance in order for us to experience the consequence of our actions in an objective fashion. As within; So without.

Attract may not be the right word

...and this is why most people will never truly go beyond entertaining this philosophy. Most will actually manifest experiences that reflect this abstraction. They will "miss the mark".

Why? because abundance is all there is...

A mustard seed can only express itself as mustard tree. It cannot express itself as an apple tree, or olive tree, or cherry tree, nor can it attract to it the ability to become a mustard tree, and therefore entertains no other possibility than what will BE...

It's called faith...and with faith there is nothing left to attract....only gratitude remains. We have choice in life; we can either live by way of Grace (Yin) or by way of Nature (yang).
