We had the Blue Angels come out and do an air demo while we were picking up my airwing on my second deployment on the Enterprise. Really gnarly watching them scream over our flight deck. Those guys really are awesome. I think my old XO was a pilot for them..Ryan Scholl?

Yeah, Lt. Ryan Scholl was a member of the Blue Angels during the mid 90's.
He flew at least #4, #5 and #7 jets.

He was an awesome XO...really hardcore but awesome. Blue Angels definitely put on a good show though. I used to go watch them when they were doing practice out at Oceana when I was stationed in Va.

Sorry, I missed this thread until you told me about it.

As far as pictures go from Abbotsford, I'm even more ignorant of taking picts than I am of computers...

I might get a cell phone shot or two. There's supposed to be a Mosquito this year.

I couldn't even come close to what you've done with Sea Fair. Outstanding, bro.

Nice pics of my favorite plane. I've loved Fat Albert ever since I saw it do a RATO at Miramar in 1984.

Thanks for the pics! It was a great show this year, wasn't it? The Seahawks 747 is so cool, and I absolutely LOVE that AV-8B Harrier when it was just hovering there doing a 360 - so cool. Watching Fat Albert was cool as well - all of them were. Really sweet having both the Blue Angels and the Breitling team there...I hit record on the DVR as soon as the airshow started so I can watch it a few more times.

I work just south of Boeing Field, so it was pretty sweet going outside in the days prior to Seafair and watching the Blue Angels practicing right over my head. Love, love, love being a lifelong Washingtonian!

The C-130 has a female pilot.

Yes, but she wasn't the pilot for the show though. They did show a brief interview with her though and she is just amazed and grateful for the attention she's getting.

Your Airshow is awesome......I am a little envious. The raptor and mustang flying together = Awesome. Milwaukee airshow is lack luster at best. The EAA fly in up in Oshkosh is much better but spans many days.

While not technically Seafair, I decided to do a little plane spotting today with my son and tag the pictures here:

First stop, Paine Field, Everett, WA.

Boeing factory doors:

Dream Lifter:

KC-46 (from a distance) with the tail of the Seahawk 747:

Qutar 787:

British Airways 787:

Now to Boeing field we go.....

787 prototype:

A pair of tails:

B-17:

US Navy P-8:

Concorde tail:

Air Force One:

Now that looks like a mechanics nightmare, folding wing joint on a EA-6B:

Cool old Biplane that gives tours:

It annoys me that they refer to that as Air Force One. It has far more history as a SAM bird than as Air Force One.

Yeah it does.

We couldn't get on any of the planes there at the museum since we were free loaders but it's fun to walk around them. They are making good progress on the massive structure that all of these planes will go into eventually.

I went to the Boeing Store and bought the 1:100 scale model in the same paint job last year
