yes I seen how you took something and portrayed it out of context to try and paint what I said into something it's not...

So guess what that makes you?

Lol

The same as you.

Yes. But, its been said before that "we" can only travel forward in time. Its one of those things you hear a lot.

Science has since proven it can send particles back in time.

Kinda blows that "can't go back in time" theory.

not really.

I'm very aware we can't time travel yet.

Either way.

Those particles are not humans...

but I do believe in time travel I just don't have the proof...

That was a simulation do you know what that means?

you dont have proof you believe in time travel?
i believe it will one day be possible and i can prove i believe it....
ready

"i believe one day time travel will be possible"
^^^just proved i believe it

interesting though.

Thanks
Finally I'm learning something in this thread. I'm off to explore the following.

www.acampbell.org.uk...

Religion as Parasite, Parasite as Religion

Home page: www.acampbell.org.uk

Abstract

Sceptics sometimes describe religion as a parasite on the human mind. In the first part of the article, Religion as Parasite, I look at some of the implications of this way of thinking for our understanding of religion. In the second part, Parasite as Religion, I consider a more literal and perhaps surprising possibility: that biological parasitism may actually play a part in the formation of religious belief. Finally, in the third part, I bring out some of the implications of these ideas for our understanding of why religion exists

Yes, I understand.

And he will "reflect" back only the parts that fit his belief, while tossing everything else out on the street.

Mind you when I was 17 I thought I knew it all...the older you get you understand how little you actually know.
Guess that is Monkey wisdom.

Oh, for sure.

I've got a 22 year old grandson and a 15 year old granddaughter who know it all, LOL

I have changed so much, and gone through so many incarnations in my 68 years I could write a book.

When I was 17 I wanted to be a Christian minister. At 65 I accepted I am atheist.

i have a tab open browsing previous pages but i am not going to be able to put much effort in. the first post of his i came across he threatened to report someone for saying that he said only chickens lay eggs when in fact he did not say that.
im still getting a chuckle from that.

and while he did not come right out and say he had proof of god, on page 38 he did say this

the Chicken or the Egg??? You need a creator in the equation to quantify... Disprove that... That is also evidence of creation, someone something started it... And they made the rules and are not bound by them... And like it or believe it or not that is the truth of it...

which is close enough for me.

My brother was a millionaire at 26 from his contracting business. But, what you're worth on paper, isn't always the same as cash value.

He lost it to over-expansion and a lawsuit. The lawsuit came from the city and was unfair. But, shows how quick something can turn around.

wont make a bit of difference to me. i am no ones property. none of us are.

Well I'm for want of a better word a pagan; but you would entertain the idea that we are the property of the Government, I mean through the taxation system and the debts they perpetuate upon us?

i was being a smart ass. oracle said he is 17 and owns a contracting business and makes 300k a year.
i didnt really have much ambition. when i was 17 all i wanted to do was sleep and get loaded.

i wish i would have had a different attitude back then.
i probably would have tried to become an anthropologist
