we will become extinct as a species and then another species will reign supreme. then that species will die off and another will take over.

Well, for my part, I hope it's elephants or dolphins.

i hope the gooey duck takes over for a few millenia

consciousness

I think we fake ourselves out with the term consciousness, this is just a human made up term that we want to apply to the universe in many ways.

I think we are a spec of a planet and human existence is an instant in the life of the universe, nothing more or less, and we have about as much of importance as that too.

Possibly.

We may not really exist at all except in thought (energy consciousness).

I can deal with that gonna have to send me some links explaining more If you can dude.

Sure. Taoism is easy to find info on actually. But what you're looking for and what I recommend is only the root ideas of Tao from it's beginnings. It's become a full on Religion at this point and has become developed and institutionalized in many ways. Which I always found strange because the core ideas of it don't even have words to speak of. So how you build a full on religion out of something that just "is", is beyond me. Even trying to speak about it means you're now limiting it and therefore not actually talking about what it truly is.

But I'll find some stuff and send you some links.

**does not mean time travel is not possible. i am of the opinion that it absolutely is possible.
we just dont have the capabilities yet

Physicists Prove Time Travel Possible by Sending Particles of Light into the Past

www.ibtimes.co.uk...

i remember reading that so let me be more specific again

super rich young contractor man said that WE are only capable of time traveling forward
i read that as people being capable. particles of light is not what i think of when i think we

and since we are being specific. from your article

Scientists from the University of Queensland have used photons (single particles of light) to simulate quantum particles travelling through time.

The scientists simulated the behaviour of two photons interacting with each other in two different cases.

Although it has been possible to simulate time travel with tiny quantum particles, the same might not be possible for larger particles or atoms, which are groups of particles.

simulating something and doing it are very different things

bummer.
ive never been called up but i can assure you i would try anything possible to get out of it.
i dont know much about how it works.

dont you get paid like 10 bucks a day? i know your employer cant fire you but i cant get by on a day with what i make in 30 minutes.

also, i have no sense of 'civic duty'

i know in capital type cases there is a selection process.
each side asks questions to eliminate jurors they dont want.

i figured if i was ever in that position i would just say something like "i dont care about this case at all and will vote in whichever direction gets me the hell out of here the fastest"
i figure neither side would want me on the jury.

Noah has the oldest religion, nothing was written out, it was just him and God chatting,

What religion did Noah have and for your benefit I use the word religion loosely,so you don't make a complete fool of yourself.; but I can help with the definition of religion if you want

Folks....the OP abandoned ship after 19 posts. That's all. 19 posts.

How is it that its reached page 60 now, and people are tearing each other's virtual throats out?????

This is just entertainment. Reading the thread is like watching mental gymnastics.

Circular logic and special pleading are just a few of the examples that reoccur in the thread. It is the same ole same ole when these proof of god threads come up and that also applies to the OPs abandoning their threads.

Then there are those "replies" that make you wonder if the poster is making fun of theists or if they are being serious. They are almost always being serious when questioned further.

Yep - it's both entertaining and relaxing watching this shipwreck continue.........

Those particles are not humans...

but I do believe in time travel I just don't have the proof...

That was a simulation do you know what that means?

furthermore Hindus believe in creation and they believe it started with the sound of "AUM"

I said earlier the universe was not thought into creation it was spoke into creation...

Sound of Aum, sound, sound. 3 times. So they got the creation idea right? It even concurs with your genesis account. Seeing they predate your genesis, I guess using your logic you believe in a false creation account.

See how I did that with out having to call you an idiot.

Yes. But, its been said before that "we" can only travel forward in time. Its one of those things you hear a lot.

Science has since proven it can send particles back in time.

Kinda blows that "can't go back in time" theory.

Here is me thinking they had faith.
If they did they wouldn't need to argue for their religion would they?.

"You shall slay the unbelievers when you enter their lands" or some such edict from the Old Testament. Oh and take their women as well, even if they are pagans. Such prizes!

not really.
'we' can not go back in time. apparently a particle of light might be able to.
'we' can not. at least not of this date.
'we' also can not go forward in time(you know what i mean super rich young contractor man)

i do think if humans can survive long enough, maybe another thousand years that it will be achieved.

we should never stop trying.
just cause we can not do it today does not mean we wont be able to do it tomorrow.
that goes for anything.

when i said we cant go back in time i did not mean a single particle of light. i meant we as in people. a person. or a living being.
so no, the theory is not blown

yes I seen how you took something and portrayed it out of context to try and paint what I said into something it's not...

So guess what that makes you?

Lol
