Not even the 90% tax rate is a new idea and it was even done here.

Yes, it was done here. And it only applied to super rich people - just like it would now. People who will Never Ever have to worry about money for the rest of their lives (nor will their children). It ALSO is what created the middle class and the prosperity that this country enjoyed after WW2.

Denial, hallucinations, delusions, paranoia, alarmist catastrophizing.....etc.

That ^^ is what I see in your posts. Consistently.

What a coincidence.

I could say the same about you.

There are no new ideas. They're the same stuff we've been pitched before.

So, then - just keep repeating the same behavior that the USA is doing now and expect different results?????

Yeah.
Mental illness/insanity: Repeating the same behavior and expecting different results.

Are you a super billionaire? Are you planning to leave at least 5 million to your kid?

(Rhetorical, never mind. I already know what the burr under your saddle is.)

It'd be "change", wouldn't it?

WHO is suggesting that?

So is "change" conditional?

I think we could agree that not all change would be beneficial.

Change for the sake of change is how it was done in a certain nation in Europe not so many decades ago, but maybe it has been long enough. Almost all who could teach that lesson have passed now.

No, it is not. What we have now is oligarchy and runaway capitalism and cronyism and religious/conservative obstructionism.

Oh, and endless war, and rampant poverty, and a crumbling infrastructure......

Our public school system has been more or less fully socialized for decades. How is that working out for us?

Btw, you haven't been in New Mexico recently have you?

Either show some reputable data that proves that ANYONE is proposing a 95% tax rate to everybody, or drop it.

Hyperbolic catastrophizing is certainly not an answer, nor is it productive.

Yeah! "Free Appropriate Public Education."

So what? Like you were born before that was the case? Like you were a Private School Princess? Like you are worth millions, an heiress with a trust fund??

NO. You went to a public university.
So, that can't be it.

Hmmm. wait.....is it.......

you're just bent that there's no more grace before lunch or prayer assemblies and that homosexuals aren't shunned and ridiculed? Yeah, thought so.

ETA:

What about emergency services???? Social Security, Medicaid, etc.....?? HORRIBLE ideas!!!
Yeah, you're right again! Who needs that crap anyway????
Who needs Firefighters, ambulance service, highway maintenance, Emergency Alert Notices.....

You're right. It's all CRAP! What a useless waste of money!!! Especially YOUR money!!!
Holy cow, what are people thinking????

I have not. Whatever the hell that is supposed to "allude to" and "imply" is beyond me.
Don't explain it, please.

In fact, I don't even know why you are talking to me. I told you I was done with that effort.

Really? You didn't?

could tell you about some of the things I see from liberals, daily, on a massive scale too. Do you know why I ask if people are going to be there marching me and mine to the trains someday? It's prompted by what I see from them.

Really?

If you're comfortable in your ideology, does it matter what someone else calls you?

No, I don't care at all. But if by being comfortable in my ideology I try to change things that negatively affects others by making them conform to mine (both right and left), then there is a problem.

Then you're in luck.

The liberal/socialist/progressives are running things.

But Beezzer, congress is controlled by republicans. So doesn't that contradict your last sentence?

Liberals and conservatives are like salt and pepper.
To much of one ruins your steak, but the right balance makes it perfect.
To bad both sides are to thick headed to understand that.

This is one of the best things I've heard lately!

So why is being conservative so bad? After all, not all things are bad if they're not new.

Show me a real conservative. They are hard to find these days.

Not many actually believe in the principles of conservatism and actually practice what they preach.

Please. Some real socialism would be nice for a change but even the Democrats can't get it right. They have to placate to the corporatists and the neo-cons.

When you see some real socialist programs beyond the half-assed programs we have now, let me know.

That is true, but you have the option to opt out of it....do you not?

Not quite the socialism I expect you were referring to, correct?
