That is an interesting thought: "How it's supposed to be".

Could you show me where in the constitution is this part written down?

Sure, it is in the very beginning.

It is supposed to be a government and country for we the people and not only for the top 1 percent

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Oh, he's authentic. He wants to take all your money to redistribute as government sees fit.

I have yet to figure out why so many people are in love with this concept unless they think it will only apply to the "evil rich" and not to them, but a 90% tax rate is a 90% tax rate.

I don't know about them, but I cannot survive if I suddenly lose the remaining 60% of the income I am left after taxes every year. I will go bankrupt. And I do not want to apply to the government for their "generous" programs to survive. I've seen the endless rounds of certification paperwork and inspections I would have to submit myself to in order to qualify. They meddle. I don't want them to meddle in my life anymore than they already do.

Not to mention, I work hard to keep them out of my life as much as possible. Bernie will be working to make them my hand-holding partners in life.

For some reason, people want this.

Now, if you want this, I wish there was a way you could have it without forcing me to have to ride right along with you.

Pretty much how I feel, berney is a socialist, we all know what that means.

I do not want the gov in my life as much as they are now, to be forced to spend hours on a regular basis because of their burocratic idiocy, and have to report to mom and dad, every single time I move or work more or less, and at points in between...

I don't need or want retarded nanny state bs.

I would rather live like a hermit way out in the wilderness without internet.

Exactly, and if he were really as "revolutionary" and "anti-establishment" as they think he is, the press would be working to absolutely destroy the man already. They are as invested in the status quo as any other crony politician. Yet, they ignore Sanders ... Ergo, he's not that revolutionary or anti-establishment.

From what I've seen, with Sanders, what you see is what you get. Kind of hard to destroy that. They've already tried and failed with his wife.

Ergo, Sanders has a clown convention going on over on the RIGHT side of the street that provides the media with ample nonsense to focus on.

It is very simple. It is because there is an election next year and he appeals to a lot of people.

Very simple indeed.

To Vasa: I didn't join ATS 10 years ago in order to be a Shill for Sanders...

I don't recall ever seeing a heavy political push on ATS

You don't recall the flood of Ron Paul material about 4 years ago? THAT was a heavy political push...much more than what Sanders is currently receiving.

I'm not sure it is a heavy political push, I just think people like him a lot, and feel passionate about someone they feel is honest.

Thats ok to share about right?

Has Bernie released his financial statements yet?

The Sanders household took in more than $205,000 in 2014, and paid the feds nearly $28,000 in taxes — an effective rate of about 20 percent based on Sanders' taxable income of $141,000. That means they likely earned more than 95 percent of Americans, according to the most recent data available from the U.S. Census Bureau.

Sanders had an estimated net worth of $330,000 in 2013, according to financial disclosures filed with the U.S. Senate and analyzed by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, a watchdog group that tracks money in politics.

According to this, Sanders 2014 net worth was $460,506.

He seems more authentic than any politician has in a long time, and is doing things no other politician has had, for example refusing corporate sponsors.

So some people have a bit more hope than usual is all. The same people backing him on the boards are the same people funding his success, the people, for once, not corporate lobbyists.

While I totally agree with this post, I just wanted to highlight the fact that Bernie is doing the same things and standing up for the same principles that he always has since "day one" in his political career.

Bernie hasn't changed, it's the "people" who are changing. They're waking up! They're finally hearing his message and they're receiving it well.

Hence, the newfound popularity. Both, here on ATS as well as at every single venue where he speaks across this nation.

You're implying that there is some agenda to push support for him on ATS?

That's interesting.

Between the number of Sanders threads (I've only seen a few) and the number of Trump threads (I've seen a bit), those two are certainly the front runners on ATS while everyone else is essentially ignored. I mean, all the other candidates are cookies cut from the same mold. Sanders and Trump certainly aren't...

Maybe you're on to something. Or maybe it's because they're both not cut form that same mold that everyone is sick of.

If there's no agenda and he's not being pushed by certain powers, the only logical answer to your question is that he speaks to and for a lot of people on the left and people are sick of the "same ol'."

I don't mind them. He's the liberal version of Ron Paul and I'm sure his candidacy will pretty much go the same way.

Hey I think Bernie is the only actual Viable candidate the Democrats have....

HIllary is a stage 12 disaster area........no one wants her, not even her own party.........

if we could get Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders as the final two , we would actually have a REAL election

We might actually have a real shot at turning the country around no matter which way it went

But at least both men have strong principles that seem to be non establishment on both sides of their isles.......

one can only wish
