refusal of treatment and misdiagnosis sinister, or just a lack of people who know what they are doing?
marijuana has been proven to be benificial to the lungs. It was used as the cure for tuberculosis until the prohabition of the drug around 1930.
We have an Australian man, with major symptoms and signs of the disease except for one thing that is stopping diagnosis, his lungs although full of
pleurisy and pneumonia, are clear of damage from tuberculosis.
An operation in March 2004 on a lymph node tumour revealed histologically a necrotizing granulomous growth with epitheliod histocytes and Giant cells,
only found in advanced tuberculosis patients. Proper testing was not carried out.
Night Sweats
He had a proven contact with the disease, with his ex mother in law being treated in hospital in 1998 and his ex father in law dying of lung
complications in 94.
He was not informed by the government or the family at the time of the contact, it was hushed up and only found out less than a month ago that he had
lived in the same house as this woman while she was contagious for a period of six months. He always blamed listening to his mother in law coughing
and hacking full time was the final strain in his first marriage.
He was tested by mantoux testing and he came back 5mm positive, his 2nd wife also suffering disease symptoms also came back 5mm positive with the lump
breaking out worse for three weeks after the test.
In Australia, the state of Queensland all roads lead to The Brisbane Chest Clinic.
No Doctor in Queensland can peform a simple mantoux skin test for tuberculosis, only this Brisbane Chest Clinic.
When family and friends of the family contacted doctors to request skin testing ALL were refused. They were told that the 47 year old was not positive
and no testing of anyone would take place. The wife at this point demanded testing for herself and children and took the case to the state premier.
Testing was eventually reluctantly agreed to for the family only.
The wife and one son came back with results. This son was diagnosed fail to thrive with a severe lung problem two years ago but tuberculosis wasnt
tested for as no known contact had been made and the state refuses testing .
The wife had been told by her own doctor, who practised in South Africa prior to Australia that she in fact may have tb of the bowel, as the wife has
crohns disease and weighs only 46 kilos. Once again though no testing was done prior as no knowing contact was made.
Wife's Arm - Suspiciously like Cutaneous Tuberculosis
After the families test, relatives tried once again to get testing for themsevles to be point blank refused by The Brisbane Chest Clinic and told that
the wife was "panicking" and no one was positive. The chest clinic told the wife not to tell anyone that her husband may have tb as he didnt want
to have to handle an epidemic of enquiries.
The sons test was written as 7mm result but from photographic evidence the reaction showed to be much larger than that.
Sons Test Photo taken one hour before results were read - 7mm?
Still the state refuses to start treatment, still the state refuses to confirm diagnosis and still the family sit around waiting to die.
Why is this? Does Australia refuse to admit they may have dropped the ball and had someone running around for nearly ten years with tb in them to
spread around? Is it because it is Christmas and the state does not want to lose the tourism dollar?
Or is it tha fact that this man has defied odds by living with the disese for so long and defied the odds more by having wonderfully clear lungs.
It is refused to believe someone could live that long at the stage the man is at.
The man smokes marijuana every day, so he is smoking the ol fashioned cure for the disease.
IS the marijuana keeping the bacteria in check?
The doctors are not allowed to even look at the possibilites due to treaties signed against the use of marijuana for medical purposes and testing.
Is the government waiting for this father of nine children, the youngest being 5 months old to die so their problem goes away?
