Pioneer gravitational anomolies

Sure, but neutrinos may have only kinetic mass, just like photons. Photons don't cause gravity, but they have mass, otherwise they would have no energy (because E=MC^2, and if M = 0, then E = 0).

I am kick-starting this tread since new papers have been published about the Pioneer anomaly since this thread began.

First, there is a new paper out on, September 30, 2005. The ESA Advanced Concepts Team, proposes methods for testing current theories on the Pioneer anomaly. Options for a non-dedicated test of the Pioneer anomaly PDF

I'm no expert, so what do you think? Could the anomaly be caused by, and is there such a thing as left handed, or mirror matter?

Basically this theory proposes that our understanding of Gravity is flawed and that it acts differently at different distances. Quite a fasinating theory actually.

Milgrom's theory has been worked on by a number of astronomers since and Dr Zhao and Dr Famaey have proposed a new formulation of his work that overcomes many of the problems previous versions have faced.

They have created a formula that allows gravity to change continuously over various distance scales and, most importantly, fits the data for observations of galaxies. To fit galaxy data equally well in the rival Dark Matter paradigm would be as challenging as balancing a ball on a needle, which motivated the two astronomers to look at an alternative gravity idea.

Allthough it still doesn't touch on what Gravity actually is.
