Well they're going all in on Thorium reactors with the technology stolen from the United States which is already 45 years old.

Let them use 45 year old tech.

We have a lot newer tech like Accelerator-driven subcritical Thorium reactor.

With a Accelerator-driven subcritical Thorium reactor you turn off the Accelerator and the reactor comes to a stop without major cooling needed.

The even better part is you can mix small ammounts of spent reactor fuel from the reactors we have today and burn it up getting ride of all the dangerous spent fuel we have in cooling pools around the US.
