The Obama Administration is on another damage control mission.

This time they are trying to suppress Inspectors General who normally investigate Administration Cabinet Departments that are in fact part of the Executive Branch.

We know some investigations are underway and many more probably being planned.

The Administration is now saying the Inspectors Generals have limited power to look into certain specific material, and now must somehow get "permission" from the Cabinet Heads to gain access to the "restricted" information from now on.

Legal opinions are conflicting.

And I guess this was somehow "over-looked" prior to this recent Executive Action.

Another spur-of-the-moment reaction.

What could possibly be wrong with internal investigations?

What is the Administration afraid of this time I wonder?

Obama administration restricts investigative powers of inspectors general

The Obama administration formally announced that inspectors general will have to get permission from their agency heads to gain access to grand jury, wiretap and fair credit information — an action that severely limits the watchdogs’ oversight capabilities, independence and power to uncover fraud.

An opinion, issued by the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel, says the Inspector General Act of 1978 — which was written by Congress to create the government watchdogs in order to help maintain integrity within their agencies — does not have the authority to override nondisclosure provisions in other laws, most notably in regard to grand jury, wiretap or fair credit information.

Hummmmmm.

What *ARE* they attempting to hide now?

Certainly acts to give the administration a heads up on potential investigations early on by IG requesting permission ahead of discovery.

This will "give them time" to set up a defense and eliminate evidence.

They're also relying on clock running out because it'll take months if not longer to get this move ruled illegal.

Bet they're hoping post election timeframe.

When the first thing Obama did was to seal his school records I knew we were in for a ride.
I just hope there's still a country left when this one is over.
Our entire system of dysfunctional government is being made over to work entirely for partisan interests.

Looks like The Obama LLC is leaving no stones unturned.

It's becoming full blown tyranny and full authoritarian.

I know the Obama supporters and voters are very happy.

At no point has the Justice Department denied any of Mr. Horowitz’s requests

Just thought I would point this out before you resume the circle jerk.

Just thought I should point this out as well ....

The approval process in obtaining the materials delayed review of Operation Fast and Furious.

Proof that the JD is circlejerking the process in order to hide and edit the evidence !!!!!

We've got to protect Hillary Clinton at all costs!

Maybe Obama should require 24 days notice prior to the start of an investigation.
