It has to get so bad that the few people left in the middle class will do anything left in their "power" to make sure unskilled idiots who can't do anything more than flip a burger have to starve to death making dinner for the superior human being because they don't deserve an extra few bucks to live on.

Humans.

I tend to agree the only thing that might start a revolution in the USA was if KFC,Mc Donalds and Dominos all shut simultaneously.

Welfare is the trigger.

Cash welfare is NOT a lot of money, in comparison to where one lives if they receive it. Food stamps and medicaid may be a breaking point, a lot of people really need that.

Simple really.

The power grid.

If power goes out, people will storm the streets. People will riot, loot, burn, destroy everything they can get their hands on.

When it goes dark, watch out.

During the Big Ice storm in Buffalo Aphid Storm some people were without power for 15 days/ Some schools shut a month. And we are a hearty bunch here.

My mother was staying the weekend at her boyfriend's apartment in a retirement community when it began. 2 days later, I had to stealthily drive into the city to pick her up as there were roadblocks at the city line. Where she was was running out of food and she had gone to the store for many elderly people over and over.

Power poles were down over roads everywhere. I had to drive over them in my Ford Explorer.

We are used to snow, there was more than 20", ice storms are particularly dangerous , though. They weigh down power lines and trees and they just fall.

No one rioted , though.

The real answer...

Less than 800 calories per day is the breaking point. It has been determine that when society food intake goes below 800 calories per day the masses will cause fundamental changes, i.e. riots, so as long as we keep growing fat from lots and lots of food crap we will never reach that point as a society no matter how much freedoms we lose.

In other words, when Michelle Obama's school lunch program comes to everyone all the time.

You can't compare "some" people being out of power for a few days or even a couple of weeks to a city/state/grid that goes out indefinitely.

You see, I think you are the one who is asleep. You are so radicalized by left-wing propaganda that to you everything is a conspiracy by TPTB. Everything is done specifically to thwart "the people" by Big Government and Big Corporations. For nearly any subject on here I can tell you what your viewpoint is before you open your mouth or visit the keyboard. You're predictable--pathetically so--because you don't think about issues. You just react, and you react in a predictable manner according to your political mind-set.

To me you're just as brainwashed as the fundamentalist Christian who believes everyone who does not accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal saviors is going to Hell. There's no talking to these people, and there's no talking to you because you BELIEVE. Hallelujah! I would say the same of a Scientologist, a Seventh Day Adventist, a member of ISIS, or a member of Heaven's Gate ('cept they're all dead.)

I don't see business as a problem. I don't think corporations are "out to get us." I don't think cops are the issue. And although I think government is much too vast and bureaucratic, I don't see government as an entity as the problem either. My problem with government is that they take away my money I earned and give it to people like you who have done nothing but bitch their entire lives. I earned it, but you spend it, and somehow you think that is okay.

I think you are what is wrong with the country, people who blame everyone else but themselves for the issues. I think your piss-poor attitude is the problem. I don't think this country owes you a damn thing, and I don't think it is the so-called rich who are not paying their fair share: I think it is YOU who are not paying your fair share.

And the thing is you get on sites like this and get people to say, "Right on, brother!" and you get to thinking you actually represent "the people" and that everyone is behind you and that all you have to do is get a few more before you go on the rampage, the same way you go on the rampage and destroy property every time you see some meme on the Internet that turns out to be untrue. So what do you idiots do? Go destroy some Korean merchant's 7/11 to show how you are so angry at The Man, when the Korean just got here a year ago without even knowing the language, and yet, somehow, with all the innate prejudice against his race, he turns out to be a whole lot better at "pursuing happiness" than you will ever be because you know what? He knows you have to work to get ahead and that yelling and screaming doesn't cut it.

Or just maybe he's a whole lot smarter than you are. As John Wayne said, "Life is hard. It's harder if you're stupid."

So go ahead. Keep on yelling. Keep on blaming other people and telling them they're asleep because they don't agree with you when it is you who are snoozing through life without even understanding what you are doing. But the fact is all your yelling and shouting is ineffectual as hell. You're angry because you aren't getting anywhere when it is your own damn fault.

Those people you think are snoozing and asleep are actually just a whole lot more quiet and polite than you are. And they continue to watch you make a fool of yourself. And not to put too fine a point on it, but they are well-armed.

And you're not.

There is another example I can think of. NE blackout of 2003 No one knew how long it would last. No one knew what caused it. For years Canada was blamed, but I think someone was asleep at the switch in Ohio, if I remember correctly.

Why are you attacking his beliefs so personally? Your motive to your post is what I call to question he poses a question rationally, you proceed to respond attacking his intelligence and belief? I fail to see how you know who the masses are when your so conveniently acting out my earlier post. Also I don't understand how your calling someone what you are for believeing in conspiracy...then again if you don't why are you here, with another question being what gives you the almighty power to say which conspiracy is true or false ? Quoting John Wayne?haha.

Nothing really in your post is anything other than words tailored to attack the op. Strange to say the least. Your entitled to your opinion but sounds based off your writing language your deeply upset by something, is it possibly your subconscious agrees with him where your intellect is trying to undo what can't be undone?

Haha I kid. Still strange.

There are vigilantes on the streets already, guarding recruiting offices across the country, and no one seems to care.

Everyone is so wrapped up in ridiculousness of Kim Kardashian, reality tv, which sports star is screwing around with which actress, why Hilary Clinton won't speak at ridiculous Benghazi hearings, and fake scandal after fake scandal to see what's really going on.

As long as they have distractions ("bread and circuses") no one will care about what's really going on right in front of their faces.

The Romans knew it, and the US Govt knows it.

When Muslims start getting interned for "Security Reasons" it will likely be the start of something a lot bigger. That will be my red flag that the line has been crossed.

In Germany in the 1930's, everyone said they had no idea what was going on in the background, despite many, many news articles very similar to what we have today.

In the late 1940's, after the war, when they asked Germans how they let it get so bad so quickly, they said that they had no idea what was really going on until it was way too late.

In Germany 1933, the bad guy was the Jew. In USA 2015, the bad guy is the Muslim.

Other than that, the playbook is almost identical.

The far right have been completely overtaken by special interests and are only a goose step away from being a national front party with horrible nationalist tendencies, just like the "National Socialists" of 1933.

By the time they realize that what everyone's is saying is going on is actually right, it will be too late, just like in 1930's Germany.

One day, the US Govt will announce that all Muslims are being interned. They will say it's for "Security" reasons, and that it will only be "Short Term". It won't take much. It will be in response to some minor event that will get everyone excited for no reason at all.

Just look at what it eventually took for everyone to start getting excited about the Confederate Flag, after serious efforts to have it taken down for decades. In the end, a single guy posting a picture to Facebook after an horrific act was all it took to ignite a national debate and force quick change.

Well looking at our history things have been much much worse and nothing happened. What exactly do you think is going on today that has not been going on through all of human history? Political corruption today has nothing on what went on the as late as the 1920s. You feel oppressed by the government today go to the earliest days of the nation until after WW1 when sedition laws were in place. We also have in our past, slavery, forced movement of indigenous peoples, and WW2 interment camps for people who happen to be of Japanese ancestry. And imagine the Cold War and blacklists and The House Un-American Activities Committee (of which existed in some form from 1919 until 1975. You could be tried for what you said, owning certain books or even flags, or for knowing somebody who did. And if you dared speak up and say this against the Constitution you were then flagged as a communist and enemy of the state. Or how about a time when people had to sit in the back of a bus, use a separate water fountain and not be allowed in places because oft he color of their skin. And they could be killed and nobody cared. How about a time when the Army was sent to put down veterans protesting over pensions or the National Guard shooting students at Kent state.

None of that exists today. In fact when compared with our history we have it pretty damn good over all. Is it perfect and problem free? No of course not but, when you learn our history things have been much much worse.

You are right in regard to the past things you mention. But we have different things. It is a lot of the reason we are all here on this site. We think something is going to happen, we often disagree on what, but it seems to creep in stealthily, that something, or many somethings, are going to make moves that hurt us and make them rich.

I am glad you brought up Kent State. It was never in a history book when I was in high school. My mother described it to me and I had to go look it up on Youtube and , truthfully, cry. But the police haven't really stopped, they may have taken up where those troops left off. Or simply work in conjunction with, as the house to house searches after the Boston Bombing.

People are being flagged when saying something is unconstitutional. Or for just, say, working on Ron Paul's campaign. I didn't, but some that did are on a watchlist . Lots of here may be on such list.

The "The House Un-American Activities Committee", certainly exists in some form. They just don't call you in to testify or make a big splash in the press anymore. It had become unseemly for them to do so.

I couldn't resist pointing out the new thread just prior to this one in which...it gets THIS bad:

Tilbott told police he estimates he has smuggled several thousand eyeballs from the plant over the past few months

Man smuggle eyeballs in Anus

www.abovetopsecret.com...

It is just that bad these days!

I think...i've seen enough...

I.m not even sure why I comment anymore. I just don't see an end to this orosboros cycle of madness.

To the OP

How bad does it have to get for people to wake up? The reality is, most will never know what hit them, the hows and the whys. Despite the fact that people warned about these things. Whether or not there is hope that people will wake up in time, at this point (to me anyways) it doesn't matter. I don't see a bright future for any of us.

I can only hope, if there is a God, to have mercy on me and have me be the first amonst the casualties, because living through and after what is soon to come, will be hell. Not that we aren't in hell already.

I get your point but there is also the OP'S point.

There are troops on the streets its called Jade Helm and what they are practising for is if these well armed people you mention ever remember why the Second Amendment is in your constitution.

There are black site reduction sites in Chicago and other places.

Bank holidays, not yet Greece has had them and EO's definately are there for them

Bank haircuts, not yet but Crete has had them and your Government has confiscated gold and other items before.

Wesley Clark....well those camps do exist.

The OP is presenting facts as a concerned citizen he is not advocating welfare or taking any great liberal stance.

All is not well in this world and if you have not noticed that after 7559 posts on this site perhaps you are in denial of evil.

Sports games on TV would have to be taken away, and then top that off with an alcohol ban.

People would actually have to face life head on then, nothing to distract or take the pain away.

Troops on the streets? Civilian internment camps for "political dissidents" and "extremist groups"? Black site reeducation dungeons? Bank holidays? Bank haircuts(open blatant theft)? Wesley Clark's precrime system?

What will it take for people to wake up and get out of the corporate owned two-party dictatorship?

All you need to do is pretend it's real, and that the Gubment is only having a bit of fun, and that it never happened...easy!
