Painting something a different colour so we don't have to see the bad stuff is a nice superficial way of combatting isis I guess..too bad they'll still be around.

Regardless it's an issue that needs to be taken seriously.

I get the humour and all but I fear that distorting images to our "liking" is bad for future generations who will not be shown the true nature of mankind.

On point though, I hate anime but this is a hilarious idea.

Im glad to see them thinking of something at least. I think they should draw something different though. But at least they are trying something. Maybe draw the girl with IS symbols bowing to an anime style Uncle Sam or something.

I don't think it will give them a clean slate, ISIS and groups alike love seeing themselves in the media, it spreads fear and that's what they relie on. By putting this Anime girl on instead they then wont be glamorised as they expect.

it wouldn't technical help or hinder the operation but be positive to see sick results from massacres etc not to be shown. Especially if you have kids, want a 7 year old to type in Isis then be exposed to such extreme pictures?

researchers will still research they just have to type an extra word or two "ISIS terrorists" should find the info they looking for.
