It doesn't matter being convicted or not.

Just the fact of being charge where the 'Judge; COULD sentence more than 1 year.

The rest doesn't matter.

By law this form has to be filled out before a person can buy a handgun.

We know Arson.

We know he was committed.

We know he had a history of domestic violence.

If he purchased the weapon 'legally' he lied his snip off.

But the NICS should have caught it.

A politician, in Louisiana, calling for stricter gun control?

Absolute political suicide.

Debate it, make valid points for or against, doesn't matter. That state will not ever let go of their guns. I say this having been born and raised in south Louisiana. Lafayette in fact.

This issue has been discussed countless times here, and will be again, guaranteed. Louisiana will not be the state to touch it, regardless of this politician's words.

So which law failed in this instance, and what law would fix the problem? Still waiting for D's to answer those questions.
