Because there have been things about this person that made me wonder. And we were discussing one such thing in particular today and I flat out asked them if they're a robot. They paused, looked at me deadly seriously, and said, "Close." They didn't elaborate further on it.

That's a little creepy to me. Is this significant in your opinion?

For god's sake, don't push her buttons!

Well, turned off anyway.

WHAT "one such thing" would lead you to believe a flesh & blood person is in any way a "robot?"

This doesn't really have much to do with what you put but it reminded me of something from A few years ago, it was before my grandfather died - See he was known for standing outside and watching people walk by, he'd just stare at them and watch them as they walk passed his house, I used to think that it was just because he was a bit odd or lonely but then one afternoon he was sitting in the front garden and was watching a woman, about sixty years old walking down the road, I decided to ask him why he was staring at her and he said:

"Well it's about time I saw her face. I'm sick of looking at the back of her head'

I didn't know what to say at the time so just left it at that. being older now it makes me laugh.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I also thought autism.

My question to the OP would be how long have you been with your significant other? They may not have mentioned it, if it's a newish relationship.

Why do you reference your significant other as they? You did it several times as though to avert from using "he" or "she".

So maybe you need to tell us, is "they" a robot?
