Palm Thatched Mud Hut

I thought this video was fantastic.

It did take him close to a month to build this by hand. He wasn't in a rush.

But the results were great. I even like the clay jar he made to help him build his hut.

Worth the watch and you can get so many ideas.

excellent little video...quick and to the point...really if you live in a great environment a little house like that is enough to sleep in and store some stuff in while you enjoy the day outside...once google has global internet everywhere humanity will probably never see me again..

awesome that he did that with no premade tools or anything. I do wonder one thing though--how in the H-E-double hockey sticks was he not eaten alive by bugs?

Very cool. Imagine if he had just a few people helping though. I loved his technique for the framing of the hut. Very effective. That's really the key to the whole deal. The weaving of the center palm fronds for the wall was cool too.
