Would I give this man a job as an ambassador to another country, to live in and engage people in local customs, serve as a diplomat and negotiate with tact?

I don't know about you but I sure wouldn't. To be a diplomat you'd have to be diplomatic, correct? Something he sorely lacks. And if I can't even see him as an ambassador, how could I ever see him as a president?

Exactly.

America is alienating its allies as it is! A Trump America could quickly find it self alone.

Not great for the USA economy.

Or he burns so many bridges that both partys will unite to destroy him and do whatever it takes to block his ideas.

Remember politicians are petty , vindictive and child like.

So is trump.

I would expect a catastrophic # storm.

The issue IS his ideas.

He may be unpolished and loud, but what his core ideas are is what the majority of the people in the US want.

Only 58% voted last time around. And from what I have studied, MOST of the 42% that didn't vote would fall on the conservative side. NOT on a political front, but on a world view front. And many of these have been showing big signs of not liking the direction that the government is going. Trump might just get a good % of these to get out and vote just because of the way he is acting. The liberal, PC crowd in the US is not as large as most people think. They ARE the most vocal and proactive. (24% in 2014). If he can mobilize 10-15% of these he could have a chance even as a third party.

And something else, we are in dire need of a president we can call an ambassador of peace. Someone who inspired other nations as a few of them have in the past.

No more of this 'military action on day 1' nonsense, it's despicable. They're all making a joke out of the presidency.

We never had many REAL allies to begin with. Most of them where hanger on that just wanted something from us. (and yes we wanted something from them also.)

The UK has pretty much stood with us the last 100 years. Yes we have had differences and falling out,but...

After the fall of the Soviet Union, none of the other larger countries in Western Europe have really been a true Allie.
Sure we have been friendly and helped each other, but a true Allie? Most where our allies because of our economic and military strength, not because we where friends. Now that those two thing have started to slip, so has our ties to the "Allies".

He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth; the true measure of his "success" in business is four bankruptcies; lies about his wealth; he was a draft dodger; he was unfaithful in his marriages; he has had many failed businesses (remember 'Trump Mortgage'? No? There's a reason.); he condemns China but does significant business with them; and believes that "stealing" is "taking."

Like I said earlier, a paragon for Republicans.

There is no such thing as peace.

I have said it before that is a glimmer of hope in the mind of Liberals. The only time you have peace on this planet is when you have someone with firepower to back it up. (Or when all life forms are gone from the planet.)

Here is an example I just read today:

www.foxnews.com...

Sentinelese have been living on this island for approximately 60,000 years. Their first reaction to someone new coming on the island? Kill them fast.

I hate to agree, but you have 90% of Americans pegged. We are easily divided because most of us think in such "black and white" terms when it comes to nearly ANY subject. And that's by design. So many go through their lives peripherally aware of this fact, but ignoring it for the thrill of belonging to the "right team".

Republican or Democrat
Seahawks or Patriots
Pro-life or Pro choice
Christian or Muslim
Conservative or Liberal
Black or White
Gay or Straight

This easily divided nation will be our downfall.

Sorry my conservative friends but its the truth, youre falling for the same BS.......all rhetoric, no solutions, and proven that he would sell his own mother out to fatten his paycheck......

Your posts in this thread are spot on.

I heard an analogy this morning that summed it up. Trump is like the "Lounge Act". You can have a drink and be entertained and laugh, because you've paid nothing for this part of the show. It's a freebie. But when you go into the "Main Show", for which you've paid a pretty penny, you take it more seriously and it's very important that you get your money's worth, so you want someone who takes their job seriously and works hard to make you happy. What plays in the lounge isn't good enough for the main stage.

By November of this year, Trump will be washed up and seen as the joke he is, just as he was in 2012.

Anyone thinking of supporting Trump should read your posts in this thread, IMO. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Illegal and legal are two entirely different things, you do understand the difference, right?

You think he's changed anything?
Even if he did actually get anywhere in politics, you can bet he has one goal - to make money. He doesn't give a rats behind about those veterans and we all know it.

No longer will government employees be untouchable. They will be accountable.

Really, you think?
How exactly has Trump changed that or made anyone more accountable?
Really, I would love to know what your "savior" has done that's so remarkable, other than spew racist, ignorant bs.

That's the Left's definition of PC.

The Right's definition includes barring insults against Christians, Veterans, the wealthy, the Military, the Country, Patriotism, Religious Freedom, the Flag (USA or Confederate), the Constitution and insisting that people say "Merry Christmas" instead of the vulgar "Happy Holidays".

The same people who have come up with their own politically correct code words like Black on Black Crime, Urban, Socialist, Thug, Makers, Takers, Death Tax, Pro-life, and Welfare Queens. And the same people who flip out when you call them racist. Their goal of changing minds through public shaming is no different than that of the PC police they claim are ruining the country.
...
In the end the hand wringing over political correctness is just the politically correct way for some people to defend their unwillingness to change. After all. since when did asking the people who worship at the altar of personal responsibility to be accountable for their own words become offensive, or does the whining over being chastised by a bunch of liberal kids prove the wussification of conservatives?

Political Correctness and the Wussification of Conservatives

You know what's funny? Many of the same people who support Trump for president are the same ones who HATE reality shows and imply that they illustrate the downfall of this country! So, they want a reality star for their president! LOL!

You do not owe that man a single thing.

People have been talking out of their rectums for years, and the man is nothing new in that regard. He just happens to be quite good at it, that's all.

Actually he is not good at it........He is not polished or metered. So what you are saying is 100% false. He just lays it out for everyone to pick apart. The other candidates meter themselves and have very polished delivery systems in place.

So when a politician walks and talks like as in a toothpaste advertisment , then they are good?

Trump is an extremely politically correct modern conservative/Republican ... he doesn't even need the right-wing "dog whistle" anymore ... he makes a few bombastic proclamations full of racism and arrogance ... and they come running.

The closer someone is to a traditional conservative, the more they will find The Donald ... unacceptable.

For the rest of us, at least those that don't have a secret wish to "see the world burn" ... Trump's merely the same clownish caricature of a rich American cad he's always been.

I'm trying to stay out of the "let's see what happens if we push this button" camp, but it's tempting to support Trump and help take the modern neo-conservative movement to its ultimate, absurd, conclusion.

Trump's been talking and acting this way for years, he's never really cared what people thought of him. Recently he's taken a more politically conservative stance in a publicly visible way. A lot of people are ready to get behind a man that doesn't apologize or back down, it's the difference between a real leader and a politician. For example, regardless of their views, one cannot argue that Bin Laden was a real leader. Someone like John Kerry, a politician. People can forgive the flaws of true leaders, can see past the differences. Leaders inspire passion, politicians inspire nothing.

Trumps net worth has steadily risen for decades despite periodic setbacks and corporate bankruptcies .
He has successfully navigated the waters of real estate, media, consumer goods, branding and even a foray into the stock market. Through all of this he's been ridiculed and despised by many, admired by many more and undaunted by all.

Perhaps he will eventually leave the presidential race. But don't underestimate this man. His detractors have been underestimating him for years and look where he stands.

Nicely put. I have mentioned a few times in the past that the two party system is a major part of the problem….
Anyone who votes for a party and not the individual is not doing the country a service!

Trump has the GOP by the dangly bits, and they all know it.

At this rate, they'll have to give Trump the nomination and hope for the best. If they don't, he'll run as independent and basically assure a Dem victory by taking votes from the GOP for himself.

Their only hope is to crucify him in the media, which is what they're trying to do right now. Funny enough, it's kind of backfiring right now. People see the GOP scrambling to disgrace him, and they think "Boy, he must be doing something right to scare the GOP this much".
