I'm not the one making what come across as thinly-veiled anti-Muslim hate threads....

A couple of things:

1. Can you quote a source that states that President Obama called the first shooting at Ft. Hood "workplace violence"?

2. Would you address the fact that since the shooter Hasan was an American soldier, he could not be both charged with terrorism and tried and found guilty for the murders he committed under military justice?

Military Justice

So, victims and others are demanding, why is the November 2009 attack at Fort Hood being tried as a case of workplace violence and not as an act of terror?

Military law expert Scott L. Silliman says the answer is simple - because the Uniform Code of Military Justice does not have a punitive article for "terrorism."

"They really didn't have an option," says Silliman, director emeritus of Duke University's Center on Law, Ethics and National Security in Durham, N.C. "He was an active-duty officer. The crime occurred on a military installation. … It was obvious he was going to face a court-martial."

On a more realistic note, I was glad to see Congress act (finally) to make provisions for those killed or hurt in these attacks by modifying the laws that resulted in these criminal acts being classified as "workplace violence."

Sadly, we're going to have to readjust a lot of things as true domestic terrorism comes home to roost.

But. Terrorism is terrorism. Whether it's religious extremism or political extremism.
