I grew up on the Dukes oF Hazard.

And I watched the show more for Daisy than General Lee.

I can see hollylame remaking it like that.

It would not be surprising in the least.

I was waiting for someone to chide Bo for his insensitive aggressive "shoot out" remarks, too.

I was also waiting for Boss Hogg and Uncle Jessie to kiss.

You are most likely very close to the truth my friend.

Laugh or cry...that's the question now.

Bwhaahahaa!!!!!!

Yeah DUH was so racist!

Just some good old boys, never meaning no harm. But cousins Bo and Luke Duke certainly have a way of finding trouble with the law everywhere they turn. Their adventures as the Robin Hoods of their rural community of Hazzard County lead them to wild escapes, aided by their souped-up Dodge Charger called the General Lee. The boys' nemesis is Boss Hogg, a corrupt politician who constantly sicks his minion, Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, on the Dukes.

www.google.com...

Bo and Luke were just community organizers. Robbing from the RIch, and all.

Funny how 'art' imitates real life.

Of course TVLAND pulls DUH.

www.movienewsguide.com...

The theme to DUH.

Just a good ole boy never meaning no harm..............

Fight the system like a two man robin hood.

Well I guess only politicians get to play those in real life. 30 year old tv shows are 'offensive'.

Flag bans, is a rejection of capitalism/Free market.

It's also a rejection of free speech, and expression.

So a cable network choosing to drop a show (that had low ratings anyway) and trying to capitalize on a trend (hating the rebel rag) isn't capitalism?

No that's bad business.

With the modern trend on online streaming. TV channels are on the decline.

hmmmm....

And here I thought it was just a funny video.

Sure, there can be any number of opinions about the meaning way in the back of it all but I actually just wanted a giggle.

Oh well.

Yeah, I know. Start a light-hearted thread, and pretty soon someone comes along and turns it into the functional equivalent of this:

Whoa... it's like they predicted the future or something. Replacing the Confederate Battle Flag with a Rainbow?

It would have been funny, had my sense of humor on the entire subject stayed in tact.

I was no rabid fan of the show, but to see it demonized just hardens me. It was a show about good ole boys, with a badass Dodge. If you can find something offensive about the show, you were just looking to be offended.

People are saying " it makes good business sense to just go along". I feel bad for the people that buy that crap.

I guess this has been foreseen to some extent in light of this video.
