Not really interested in the debate on defining what is and isn't considered an act of terrorism or domestic terrorism for the 47th time. It is what it is.

I am wondering if the FBI is already 'familiar' and had a few 'chats' with this man.

Thanks Stormdancer, He is on the left. The Cop is on the right that got hit in the leg.

ETA: Just read that is his mugshot from a DUI back in April.

I thought the fanatics don't drink?

Actually, if they are planning on martyr ing themselves, they indulge in all the worldly vices.

As a Muslim and having studied Islam and extremsism for many years I would have to disagree .

These extremist as wacky as they are in their ideology , abstain from anything that is Haram. But yet they commit violent act's and kill them selfs , which is a major sin......

The only other cases we see this was in the 9/11 hijackers.

If you understand the "khuaraij" ideology then you might have a better understanding of what I am saying.

You see their ideology is based off of innovated scripture and hadith that has also been twisted .

They have all the makings of "muslims" ,most are sctrict in their prayer and following the basic sunna, but where they are strong in one area they are very weak in other areas .

And thoes areas are fiqh (islamic law) aqueeda ( creed) and interpretation of Islamic text.

Thus you have all the makings of an extremist.

Why would somone commit an act of sin when they believe the very act they are committing is free from sin?

Doesn't make sens.

Hope

2 hours and 20 minutes after...

But hey everyone...
Pamela Geller said it was 15 minutes before, and Fox regurgitated that factoid...

So it must be true.

Ignore the truth and the actual history of tweets available...

It was really a warning... 2 hours later.

I don't understand. The OP article from CNN reported that the shooting began at 10:45 am.

The suspected gunman started spraying bullets at the glass doors of a strip mall military recruiting center around 10:45 a.m. ET, witnesses said. From there, he headed to another location more than seven miles away, an operational support center operated by the U.S. Navy. That's where the four victims and the gunman were killed, Reinhold said.

The pic that was posted as being from his account has a time of 10:34.
pamelageller.com...

I'm not trying to start an argument here, I'm trying to understand since it would seem that the first post was made prior to the beginning of the shooting. Then I'm also trying to understand how the second post was apparently made after the death of the shooter.
As usual, very confusing. Probably my fault, for not watching tv.....

And I didn't ask for one, just presented and observation that you responded to and offered the equal qualifiers after you did.

It is what is, I agree. Just strange how we go out of our way to call it different depending on who is behind the gun.

Not really. What Roof did doesn't fall within the actual legal definition of domestic terrorism.

What this guy did very well may. As of right now, it hasn't been officially deemed to be domestic terrorism.

ATS members offering their opinions is just that: opinions. I get the point your making, but at the end of the day it's just an opinion.

And we all should know what they say about opinions.

Seeker...

The timestamp is 1600 hours

The ISIS tweet timestamp was at 1800 hours.

I'm not mistaken.

Your thinking 1600hrs refers to US time...

The time stamps on mine were from the UK.

The news tweet was 6 hours ago...
The ISIS tweet was 4 hours ago.

As someone who has actually dealt with them and the aftermath of their actions in real life, I have to disagree. Quite often they kiss the world goodbye in a very ral manner and this is encouraged by those who egg them on.

His mugshot photo is from a DUI a few months back, but aren't Muslims against the consumption of alcohol? Am I missing something?

Thought you didn't want the debate?

Roof was pushing an ideology, there is no ifs about that.

This will go down as domestic terrorism, and if the guy had the ties then it probably should.
In that same breath the SC shootings should be seen as one as well.

And the opposite for both as well.

Time difference between Chattanooga, USA and London, UK is:

+5:0 hours

London is 5:0 hours ahead of Chattanooga
That means when it is 9:00 am in Chattanooga, it is 2:00 pm in London.

*****

10:45 would be 15:45 here...

It's now 00:19am here in London...

I assure you the ISIS tweet came 5 hours ago...
The news tweet 7 hours ago...

I'd have taken a picture but my twitter line refreshed (damn iPhones) before I could get a screenshot of the timestamp for the ISIS tweet.
The account was deleted when I went back in.

I'm as pissed as anyone about that.

Is that the same one that is being shown on the Pam Gellar site?

That shows a time stamp of 1030ish.

That's the one... thank you. When I saw it, it looked like 2 sets of camo. If that's the shooter. Then they can romove the blur.

Yes and for confirmation if someone would kindly access Twitter and search for the tweet I posted they'll see the States' timestamp.

I'm 100% certain it's two hours older than the Geller tweet.

I can't, my timestamp is London's, I need someone Stateside to search.

Edit;
The Twitter name is @WRBC...
I'd appreciate if someone Stateside would google that and check their Twitter line for the oldest Chattanooga tweet they have.

Even If I've mixed things up, I appreciate a heads up.

YOU brought up Roof, and YOU are the one pushing your narrative about Roof's actions.

Have at it.

No! There are two bodies.... there is another man around the head of the one lying on his back. Four arms. Two set of camo.

Edit: they form a "T"
