I have just found pictures on the web which I would like to share with you. They bring quite a new perspective on this crazy world. Some of them make shiver, some of them are plain crazy, and some other are inspiring.

Anyway, here it goes.

A parched koala who survived a 2009 bushfire receives water from a firefighter.

The sun as it is sets in the Martian sky.

The wall of a gas chamber at Auschwitz.

The ever best-selling (sarcasm) "Isolator", invented in 1925.

The first computer:

I am speechless with rage when it comes to that one:

This clothing used to be "indecent" (1907) and led to the arrest of the wearer:

Poor hippo...

The Falling Man. The building in the background is the WTC, 11th of September 2001.

Fifty years of time at work:

Man puts flowers in the guns pointed at him.

More pic at the sources, be sure to check them out.

Have a fantastic day,

At Time's End.

For your discerning mind…

The pic of a 'hippy' putting flowers in the barrels of M14s was captured outside the pentagon during an antiwar protest during the Vietnam era.

link to image

The protesters goal was to levitate the building (come see) and preform an exorcism on it.

link to image

After all, everyone knows that evil spirits come from the center of pentagrams, don't we?

link to image

Needless to say, the antiwar protesters never gained access to the inside of the building to carry out their mission and the Pentagon remains to this day, issuing war orders to carry on death and destruction in the world.

What are you protesting?

The starving boy in pic one . I just put uneaten pizza in the fridge that probably weighs more than that poor kids arm . I really don't know how i should feel about that . Telling though that the first thing i thought of was my own abundance of ... well anything really , this kid has nothing but death stalking him . And it isn't his fault .

Indeed. I have been fortunate enough to have seen most spectacular ones indeed at the start of the century, when the Sun was more active.

edit on 16-7-2015 by swanne because: stupid phone typed "moist spectacular ones" instead of "most spectacular ones".

I have lost count the amount of times that people post on ATS ENIAC was the first computer built.

IT WASN'T. It was The Colossus Computer. Built 3 years before ENIAC

But... I cannot help but wonder what is this "BB&Q"? Is it some kind of barbecue sauce?

I love barbecue sauce.

#1, #2 and #11 are absolutely beautiful.

#9 is very sad and heartbreaking.

But I'm 100% with you on the rage I feel upon looking at #3 and #6. I can only imagine the screaming and the agony, especially upon seeing those fingernails scratches on the wall, and the amount of ashes... And the officers that never flinched, never stopped the operation. That listened to their victims's screams, and went on doing their business.

And people with those philosophies still exist up to toady...

However, there are many signs of peace throughout the world, and the following pic is one of my favourites:

Christians protect Muslims during prayer, during the 2011 uprising in Cairo
