While we might never know what caused this flood, it is likely safe to assume this flood occurred, whether it was the poles reversing themselves because of a completion of the Galaxy’s orbit,

This is not a physical change, it's geographical. The only thing that may happen is that we will be more vulnerable to space radiation (from your own link). It will not cause a 'great world flood' and it has never caused a great flood before. In fact there is more evidence towards little floods in different regions of the world, and not one that affected all. The great flood is a myth.

Um, no, it's remarkably ignorant to assume such a flood occurred, as there's absolutely no evidence for it occurring.

Actually there is a lot of evidence of a global flood. From the eroded mountains in China, to the Grand Canyon, to dondoga land off the UK, to the very oil and gas beneath your feet. The question isn't whether or not there was a flood, but to what extent of one are we talking. Keep in mind, we are still in a flooded state, the water level has been proven to have risen over 200 ft in the last 2000 years in some areas, while the Mediterranean Sea has rising 130ft by itself. Think for a moment of this, if 90% of the population lives at sea level, why would it be any different then than now, especially given the lower level of technology 10k years ago, (when the ice age receded), and the fastest most efficient form of travel was in fact via boat. To a lower level man, with a lower level technology, watching the seas rise over 100 years would make you think it's global, especially since most had very specific traveling circumference that they traveled.

Do I think the floods that happened were on the scale that the bible says, no. However, there are many civilizations that point to wide spread flooding on a large regional level that has been proven to have accursed and happened around the same time globally, from the hopi's to the chronicles of Gilgamesh to the sanskrits on India to the aborigines and Indians in north and South America. So again, there was a flood event, the question is why, and how severe was it.

No, there isn't. Every geologic core sample ever taken shows that there has never been a global flood.

Here is an example of ocean rise over 15000 years. The river once ran into the ocean canyon on the left. Over 200 metres rise in ocean from the waterfall that once existed off the continental shelf.

We are at quite a high point in ocean rise.

A flip flop is quite slow, but it must shift some water around.

The fact that many of you would ignore the warnings of your ancient ancestors who have already dealt with this type of event suggests that you just aren't meant to survive it. I practice no religion and only pursue logic and common sense. Their written and oral history combined with modern data suggests that this is very real. To all of you who know this as well, do what you feel is right and leave these lost people behind. There is no use in explaining to someone who chooses not to see because they were not meant to at this point. I wish all of my brothers well in the hard times ahead. If you don't believe me, so be it.

True, and not true ... depends on how you view it, I guess.

Thee is no proof of a flood ... however, there is proof that the earth has been under the ocean at one time. The very "evolution", suggests it. All animals were fish at one time, and then walked onto the earth. The only way this could have happened this way, if the earth was once covered in shallow ocean.

However, there is no proof of a global flood.

Magnetic pole reversals do not "slop things around ". Rotational axis reversals have never occurred.
