Yes,
this is a very important socioeconomic point you are addressing.
There are certain incidents that lead one to conclude
that it is possible that experiments are being conducted
on people and their smart phones, their responses, and their
interests. Ultimately , their behavioral processes and levels
of intelligence and capabilities.

As far as Society at large, with or without these devices,
there has been headaches of one sort or another.

So, because the WiFi was bad, they moved to another location
and became heroes.

So in effect, because their smart phones were "Down",
they were motivated to take heroic action.
Would they have done the same if their WiFi was working?

That is an example to how these technologies
are "amplifiers" to the inherent nature of individuals.
However, it is with the great Ease of Use that allows
one to become a Voyeur and a Coward through the
concept of separation and justified observation
that is the concern that I am trying to address.

but Voyeurism and Cowardice has increased
dramatically with the "Selfie".
