Are you one of those Internet people that puts a good looking gal with big tatas on their avatar. And then gets all pissy when a guy mentions it....

I'm a little offended... I'm a big blokey Aussie fella, I surf with sharks, I dive for crays, I love fishing, I love the bush but I also love a good cry, I'm a romantic as well as a raging idealist you see.....
And just as an aside, I challenge any one of you to get through the movie Red Dog without having a massive sook.

....ok. and you're pointing this at me because? Sounds to me like you enjoy dating chicks with emotional problems. Let me guess you think all women are the same right?

Well that's interesting because I read somewhere the worst thing to do is bring a first date to a romance movie. Reason being, they slip into love with the main character and forget all about you. Woman will get all wrapped up in the story line. The best movie for dates is horror flicks believe it or not. Because now they see you as their protector. The place a man really wants to be anyway. Not the chump who's life is compared to a fictional movie character.

Jesus dude you talk about us like we're another species of human. I can assure you that women are capable of watching a movie without "falling in love" with a fictional character. Do you not have sisters or female friends who can make you less clueless about girls?

No I'm one of those people who puts a picture of Gillian Anderson on her avatar because she's Scully. And Scully with an alien head for ATS? Win.

I'm fine with people remarking on her hotness. I agree. She's smoking! But if you don't see the offensive nature of remarks like: "If you really look like that I agree with everything you say..." Really?

And on another note, so what? If Gillian Anderson was walking by you in real life her physical appearance makes it ok for idiots to what? Cat call? "Hey baby as long as you look like that whatever comes out of your mouth is fine with me. " Gross.

"Look what she's wearing! She was asking for it! "

Some more good chick flicks:

Music and Lyrics ( my husband is a big fan of this one)
Two Weeks Notice
Notting Hill
Four Weddings and a Funeral
About a Boy

Oh yeah there is a theme here. Hugh Grant for the win!

Also, The Secretary. Dudes should not turn that one down. That would be a real mistake.

My man watches "chick flicks!" He doesn't mind them at all. He even owns "The Notebook" and quoted my favorite scene to me recently in a very sweet romantic way!!

It has nothing to do with masculinity!

It has to do with the fact that your list of films is in my opinion awful.

Why make someone spend there time doing something they do not like?

Then quite honestly your taste in films sucks. Not the end of the world though.

I agree, there is no accounting for personal taste.

I am a 38 year old man, I like power tools and engines.

Why would I want to watch Tangled?

There is a connection between the hemispheres of a male brain (skin) that diminishes 'in most cases' unlike a womans, and from what i've read, it's due to the fact that 'most' women are naturally nurturing due to their child bearing nature and men are naturally bread winners/protectors, some people call this a lesser amount of empathy to that of a woman but i'm not a scientist so don't quote me. This dates back from early times. When a Males fully mature, many lose this connection and therefore lose the ability to 'feel' on the same level as women do. This may account for the lack of interest from men in emo type movies women love to watch.

I beg to differ. The Princess Bride is NOT a chick flick. It's a geek movie.

I agree. The Princess Bride is one of the most quotable movies ever. Right behind Caddyshack.
