Closed Zone its a short animation movie produced, in 2009, by Yori Goodman, animation director of the "Vals im Bashir", for the Human Rights Organization Gisha - Legal Center for the Freedom of Movement.

In less than two minutes, the director illustrates, in a powerful set, the drama of two million Palestinian prisoners, in their own land, a movie that maintains all its relevance, yet today.

People will say that it is Hamas's fault that all this happens. They conveniently overlook the fact that Israel helped Hamas to gain political power in Gaza. They also overlook the fact that Israel is occupying land that doesn't belong to them and is stealing resources that belongs to Gaza like when Israel was caught trying to sell oil that lays underneath Gaza.

This implies that a Palestinian State in the West Bank will never arise because it would weaken Israel’s position and sovereignty in the region, and this would entail the return of millions of refugees from the surrounding areas.

The huge share of water consumed by Israel originates from territories outside the national borders set before the Six-Day War. After the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza in 1967, Israeli authorities classified water as a national security issue.

The siege is rejected, by every sovereign state on earth, yet respected simply because Israel control’s Gaza’s borders. It is also according to a UN Commission, illegal, as is the ban on fishing beyond the arbitrary Israeli imposed six-mile limit.

It is difficult to find a period in history when the international community has so actively failed to address a measure of such questionable legality for so long a period of time and for which it pays such a high price.

There was a time when you could swim anywhere off Gaza’s coast. Not now. Not in the aftermath of war.

Smashed sewer systems, broken pipe work, and damaged pumping stations have seen to that. Raw sewage is tipping out into the Med and drinking water is in frighteningly short supply – not a tap runs with stuff, every drop must come by bottle through the blockade.

That defiant spirit that has carried Gaza through so much is bruised and at times itself seems fractured. There are just so many young people without jobs, and without proper homes.

People like to "forget" that Egypt also controls one border, and does not allow Hamas terrorists to smuggle weapons and explosives etc. through its border.

Yeah sure.They have been busted before with tunnels under it before from egypt. Point is they wont even allow palestinians through unless its a absolute emergency which is hypocritical of them to do.

Dam I why did you miss the Palestinian land grab that's been going on since the 40's ,maybe they will stop throwing rocks when the gov stops it illegal activity .
