I'm surprised there was no mention of The Secret Gospel of Mark

The letter includes two excerpts from the Secret Gospel. The first is to be inserted, Clement states, between what are verses 34 and 35 of Mark 10:

"And they come into Bethany. And a certain woman whose brother had died was there. And, coming, she prostrated herself before Jesus and says to him, "Son of David, have mercy on me." But the disciples rebuked her. And Jesus, being angered, went off with her into the garden where the tomb was, and straightway a great cry was heard from the tomb. And going near Jesus rolled away the stone from the door of the tomb. And straightway, going in where the youth was, he stretched forth his hand and raised him, seizing his hand. But the youth, looking upon him, loved him and began to beseech him that he might be with him. And going out of the tomb they came into the house of the youth, for he was rich. And after six days Jesus told him what to do and in the evening the youth comes to him, wearing a linen cloth over his naked body. And he remained with him that night, for Jesus taught him the mystery of the kingdom of God. And thence, arising, he returned to the other side of the Jordan."

I'm pretty certain the good "Dr. Reverend Bob Shore-Goss, an openly gay senior pastor, who has a doctorate degree in Comparative Religion from Harvard"....would earn himself a one-way trip to a flaming cage for daring to even hint the same thing about the Prophet Mohammad.

And that is one of the fundamental difference between Xtians and Muslims....Most xtians have lost sight of the divinity of their savior and allow themselves to even pounder on such basphemy while muslims have conserved the sanctity of their prophet and profound respect for their god.
Not that I condone the beheadings and such(which is done by a small minority),but I do respect their reverence of the Holy.(side note:I do not follow any religion)

Interesting that we are savagely murdered for even attempting to draw a picture of what we think Mohammad looked like.

Or to posit that Muhammad was a pedophile.
There is much more evidence for that.

It's just all part of trying to force everyone
to believe what is politically correct
so that no one in the US feels offended
by someone else's belief system,
rather than what is provable.
This is not provable, simply conjecture.

I seriously doubt the same author would have the courage
to write a narrative
and provide proof
that Muhammad was a pedophile.
But because Christians won't try and kill him
or send him death threats, he is
free to conjecture.

As far as I am concerned it is simply conjecture
and nothing more.
I certainly won't call for the man's beheading,
which is why people feel safe attacking
Christians but are way too scared
and refuse to stand up to a real threat.

The real threat is from:
The people who are actually raping, murdering,
mass executing, destroying museums, etc.
But you will find that the people who are Christophobic
and call Christians awful people in general.
Are the same people who say
they think all Muslims are good people.
In my opinion, most Muslims are good,
but some are so evil as to be serving Satan himself.
(Don't you dare say that Christians today, now this
year - not 100 or 1000 years ago - but today, this year
are doing all the evil things ISIS is doing today, now,
on a huge genocidal level, and people
won't acknowledge or fight it. But will call Christians
evil and awful.)

But I digress.

Conjecture all one wants
I am not insulted
nor will I call for harm to those
who have the conjectures.

Too bad that same reverence is responsible for over 2000 years of war and genocide for any who dared question somebody's imaginary friend who lives in the sky.

I fail to have much respect for that.

With all due respect grandma, "Christians" are doing that today...

They're called anti-Balaka...
Even the Mungiki of Kenya could be "followers of Jesus" if one delves far enough into the tribe.

But Africa is not worth the media paper or spotlight unless it's Boko Haram.

Not to argue with you, just to spread info that isn't widely available due to a media censor on the atrocities these two groups commit.

ie Burning villages, machete attacks on children, quartering and skinning victims.

It does happen, and they pray to Jesus and baptise themselves to absolve themselves of sinful behaviour.

Quite a contrast to what some would believe about "Christians" in this day and age.

Wars started by a minority(the likes of ISIS),who used religion as an excuse.
One either is a believer and hold whatever prophet, messiah etc in high regards or one chooses to pounder on basphemy and loses his/her faith...My point is you can consider Christ a savior and at the same time pounder if he was gay(or in this case affirm he was gay).Side note again:I have nothing against homosexuals(although I disagree with their lifestyle).Live and let live is how I see it.

Before this delves into "look at Muslims and Mohammed" thread...

ISIS would slaughter this pastor for his blasphemy against one of the foremost reviled Holy Prophets in Islam, the Messiah Jesus...
And they'd slaughter him fast.

This is the grand daddy of Christian bashing threads by far.

Oh, cry some more rivers how Boko Haram gets in the news, cartooning someones prophet is a death sentence that makes headlines or mass head choppings with a side order of burned to death in cages makes it into daily conversation.

Look over here, forget about all that and lets have a laugh at the pinnacle of the gay movement as they label Jesus a fruit.

Isn't Jesus a minor prophet to Muslims? Are they going to chop off some toes or pinky fingers over this?

They have bashed an imbecilic pastor.

That's not the same imo.

Jesus is the Son of God. He sacrificed Himself for everyones sins.

So he represented everyone.

Even teh gayz.

but only if they repent. thats part of the T&Cs IIRC. and since they just legalized gay marriage, i dont see a lot of that going around.

Definitely not minor.Nabi Issa(pbuh) is probably only second to Mohammed. He was basically the "John the baptist" to the coming of Mohammed.
So yeah I have no doubt they(ISIS) will chop his(the so called reverend) a$$ real quick

thank goodness this is a democracy (republic?) or he wouldnt have had the courage to call jesus gay either. im sure theres more than a few enthusiasts more than willing to tar and feather him for such outrageously amusing conjecture. you think they wouldnt? they dont because its illegal and jesus aint so friendly when his last name is rodriguez.

I have noticed that with you.

I feel the same myself, getting so 'involved' in topics was not good for me, so to say.

Now, while I still read a LOT here, I don't let myself get emotionally involved much.

you seem to be implying that to call someone gay is to bash them. which implies a strictly negative connotation to being gay. hold on a sec...there seems to be a plank in your eye...need a hand with that?
