The substitute for love

its a really difficult subject, at least for humans. At birth we are so co-dependant that we almost all know what its like to be a parasite. What does a parasite do? it simply lives off the energy of others, As a baby or child we have no choice in the matter, but as we mature we do. We choose a strategy of livelihood and see where the experiment leads us. The parasite issue all falls back in to the idea or belief that one is lacking something or other and the only way to achieve that is by stealing it from someone who appears to have what we lack. The primitive parasite will kill and destroy to get what it desires, but the more evolved one just forms part of the system and lays within and at times even aids whatever the system that supplies its needs. The key has to be realization, for if you have what you are looking for, why would you want to steal it from someone else? Then also one must realize that it time to stop feeding the parasites, for that is what creates the environment we live in. The biggest yearning humanity has is that of love, only many of us make do with the substitute for love. In the story or movie "perfume" J.Baptist does his best to extract the smell of love and innocence from the girls he knew released that perfume. But in truth, he was searching for love in the wrong place.

There are those who are tormented and desperately lost by no fault of their own, seeking simple acknowledgement and approval. Then there's the emotional vampires who seek these people out and use that desperate admiration as a means to perpetuate their sense of power and dominance.

The greater the Ego the further from the creator and the harder search for fulfillment becomes. You have to be able to love yourself before you can love another so the search for love is not external. The eternal self is love. The substitute for love is sense pleasures and addictions that temporarily satisfy but lead to greater craving for sense enjoyment and suffering.
So they key is self control and love for God. Everything else will flow naturally from a higher state of vibration.

I agree.
Introspection goes a long way. Some never look within or if they do, aren't truthful as to what they see.

I know a couple people that literally will suck the life from those they claim to love, and I don't know if some are even aware of what they do.

A young girl of 18 (non-blood relative) has never been to the mall with a group of friends, never been allowed to leave her house without her "mother", who is not her mother, but step-grandmother. Never allowed to go to school or permitted any life that would be considered normal for most of us. She is now considered an adult in societies eyes, but lives as a dependent child. I'm not permitted to talk to this young lady without her grand"mother" present, and I so badly want to just talk with her.
