"Charity as it's mission statement"? lol

We are The Church started by Jesus Christ. Our mission statement is HIS mission statement, and a tad more complex. And that mission statement can be found in The Bible, a compilation of books, compiled BY The Catholic Church, FOR The Catholic Church. You're certainly free to read our bible though, any time you want.

You have that link to the Vatican budget remark?

I read alot, pray alot, and listen to alot of Catholic Radio. Like I'd mentioned, I'm pretty serious about my faith, cuz, well it's Truth. It is what it is.

Anywho, the particular statement I made comparing the budget of The Vatican to that of N.Dame Univ., and to many American states was stolen directly from a Father Mitch Pacqua on EWTN Radio. He mentioned it as a response to a caller who was trying to make similar claims; that The Vatican is so rich. Most devout Catholics know this anyway, that's it's all hogwash. But, if you need an actual source, there ya have it. Fr Mitch is a Jesuit priest btw, very well respected and smart as a whip. You can go check the numbers somewhere, but I'll take him at his word. Most priests don't lie, as a rule.

You cannot 'check the numbers' and you will have to take his word since the Vatican does not release any financial information.

Me, I have seen enough lying priests to not take his word.

Thats too bad you've had experiences with lying priests. I can see why you'd be so untrusting. I assume you did call them out directly on their lies though? You know to catch them in the act, or possibly to have something clarified for you, that would show that maybe they weren't lying.

You may want to look around and talk to others then, as a lying priest would certainly be an exception, not the rule. Every one I've ever met, and there's been quite a few, have been very genuine. They're only men though, they have their weaknesses and idiosyncrasies too. They're basically teachers, preachers and sacrament dispensers, that's about it.

This is is the headline I was waiting for - 'Dung of the Devil' Pope Francis lets pedophile priests have it...

The wealth of the chuch cannot be counted, and the pope coming out and chiding capitalism is laughable beyond belief - the church does not have a good record on this front...

the world Catholic appears no where in Scriptures. It was a Latin creation by Jerome. The RC church while toting itself to be Christian is actually so far from real Bible based Christianity is is labeled the largest Christian cult in the world next to Mormonism and JW's.

It came out of Alexandria Egypt where Jerome made the Latin Vulgate, from the Library of religion Ptolemy II Started his conglomerate of world religions. Taking what he felt was good parts and getting rid of the rest.

Prayer beads from Hinduism and Buddhism (the rosary), Venerated Saints to represent the pagan gods of the old world i.e saint of lost causes, saint of the market, saint of animals, Saint of the fisher man or sea. All those saints were once Pagan deities that were represented in Athens at the time of Paul, when he declared them to be Superstitious. Jerome reinterpreted it to be Religious in his Latin Vulgate. Monks and Nuns all come from Hinduism and Buddhism as well.

That is why we don't believe Catholicism does not represent true Christianity.

There are various Archdioceses who are running out of money. This is truth. I know this. My girlfriend worked as a finance secretary for one of the California branches. The VATICAN however, who doesn't even bail out its own churches, is still rolling in dough. If not in cold hard cash, then as everyone has rehashed into oblivion, then in riches, gold, art. Ignatian, surely you see why those who cannot stand hypocrisy - as you, as a supposed follower of Christ also should - are not letting you get away with your claims.

Read your bible? I have. You don't follow it. This is as simple as that.

From usury since as far back as it goes, taking loans from Medici bank scams, to the Crusades and later working with Hitler (also getting money from Rothschilds) you think anyone who isn't a mind-numbed Catholic pleb is going to buy this load of crap? The Catholic church is a business - not the "non-profit" soul-saving machine it pretends to be.

Even if this current Pope is good at confusing even atheists as to his motives, it doesn't redeem the church as a whole. All it does is make Francis the master of razzle-dazzling.

Y'all are blind. My disdain for the corporate machine in Rome has nothing to do with a crisis of faith. It stems from the same annoyance when I meet people who believe government exists to take care of its citizens.

Not a single one of your points is based in fact. I could refute every one of them, but I don't think you'd listen anyway. Maybe you've been hanging around conspiracy sites too long, but the actual facts are easily found, assuming you're truly searching for truth. Because as it stands, all I see you doing is rehashing the same old tired, totally refutable lies that have been regurgitated for years about The Catholic Church.

I don't hold it against you though, trust me, because I'm comfortable in my skin, I'm armed with Truth, and I know you absolutely have no idea what you're talking about.

You've been lied to brother or sister. There is another Way.

Wow, such anger, such venom. Have you been hurt or something? I can almost see you foaming at the mouth as you type. Unfortunately, it's all for naught, as you are simply spouting a bunch of lies. None of that is true.

Peace brother/sister. The truth will set you free. Ignorance is not always completely invincible.

I happen to value his opinion as his experience with the horrors of captialism is first hand.

How so? He is from Argentina and grew up under Peronism when many industries were nationalized which was then followed by a military-led government. Hell, Argentina did not have a democratically elected leader until 1983.

Precisely my point. He lived under fascism. Have you?

No, that was not your point, you claimed he grew up under capitalism which then gave him authority to speak against it:

He did not grow up under capitalism, he grew up under a fascist and then military dictatorship, so he had no first hand experience with capitalism as you claimed. Stop back pedaling.

Pope accepts the "Communism Crucifix". Yet another symbol that religion and socialism/communism are waging a war for New World Order. It really makes no difference to the Illuminati because slaves are slaves (slaves to Religous ideas, slaves to Government, slaves to Corporatism) but is a real threat to the Constitution and your rights Americans, not to mention the "freedoms" you enjoy.

So what happens when the U.N. tells you to burn your books and remove your heritage? Because that is what is happening.

Pretty, much, some ppl proclaiming "best pope ever", "I really like this pope" just for saying some positive anecdotes etc. Wheres the change and actions behind these words. Nothings changing. For example didn't he say something about birth control (specifically condoms)

Pope drops Catholic ban on condoms in historic shift
www.telegraph.co.uk...

Then backtracks and says:

Pope Francis defends Catholic church stance on contraception
www.independent.co.uk...

The people celebrating the pope everytime he says something, short-sighted.
