The Meaning of Obama’s Silence

Here's a good question on exponential debt - why does the country with the HIGHEST gdp per capita in the world also have the (astronomically) highest rate of external debt per gdp? And I'm not talking about the United States here. The US has a 106% external debt to gdp ratio, while the country in question has a much higher gdp ratio, yet has a 3443% rate of external debt to gdp.

What am I supposed to hold the president accountable for? He does not have a magic wand or some almighty power to deal with every single immigrant that comes to this country, legal or not.

If it's such an issue why isn't congress doing anything about it? They have just as much to say about immigration policy as the president? Actually, they have more power because they can override an Obama veto.

You have a Republican controlled house and a Republican controlled senate. Why aren't they addressing the issue? Isn't that one of the reasons they were voted in?

Oh, well they can't get the Democrats to join in to override a veto. So it appears that the only way something will get done is if Obama passes an EO.....which he did.
