When did those of you on the left become such innocent purveyors of intellect, speech and intent?

Good Lord!

I get that those of us who are not "progressives" ain't perfect, but my god the ivory tower you all live in must be awesome!

What ivory tower? I do not believe I am any better than anyone else, nor do I believe I am smarter.

Are you threatened by someone that is a literalist and holds you personally accountable for the things you say? Are you afraid to be responsible for what you say, or shall we simply take for granted what you say is true and go about our lives knowing that all is well because some anonymous person said it on the internet?

Perhaps our discussions would be more fruitful if we were held accountable and weren't able to simply regurgitate the same talking points without being taken to task.

Not all morning. I do have other things to take care of, but I have very little choice in talk radio because there are no left-leaning shows to be found and music is not what it used to be.....so I can't "jam out".

Low on choices, I guess you could say.

Unfortunately I am posting from my IPhone, so chopping up your quotes is more of a hassle, so I'll have to answer every single one of your meaningless questions another time if I even feel like it.

The fact is, Your herO Obama is a hypocrite. He speaks out on everything to do with dividing the herds, yet he finally shuts his pie hole when a huge issue comes up that doesn't benefit his warped and race baiting ideology.

Do you have the ability to discuss the topic, or are you just going to continue to allow my comments and beliefs to dominate your whiny state of mind? Why bother, you will never sway my opinions.

You poor liberals are so far gone and are so irrational that even the biggest imbecile is starting to wake up and recognize it. Obama is a terrible leader. You would do better defending your own beliefs than worry about mine. ~$heopleNation

It'd be nice if the progressives adhered to this approach.

No worries. This post will do.

The fact is, Your herO Obama is a hypocrite.

Yes he is. I could not disagree more with the majority of what Obama does, but that's what you get when a president abandoned his beliefs and moves towards the center/moderate. He's not my hero and I sure as hell didn't vote for him.

He speaks out on everything to do with dividing the herds, yet he finally shuts his pie hole

Do you want him to speak out or keep his mouth shut? When he opens his mouth, he is demonized. When he shuts it, he is demonized. What do you prefer?

when a huge issue comes up that doesn't benefit his warped and race baiting ideology.

What huge issue? This was one unfortunate person that was killed by an illegal immigrant. The Right claims that this happens all the time? Does Obama have to speak publicly about every incident that occurs for you to be happy?

Or perhaps this is a big deal because it's good for ratings and the media is using this faux outrage to their advantage? Hmm..it's amazing to notice how the outrage only comes out when the media tells people there is a reason to do so.

Do you have the ability to discuss the topic

I've already commented on the topic. Obama is damned either way. Some people cannot be pleased no matter what he says. Nothing new.

You poor liberals are so far gone and are so irrational that even the biggest imbecile is starting to wake up and recognize it.

Why do you assume that I am a liberal? I am not a liberal. I am a socialist. Liberals are, for the most part, passive aggressive and indifferent to most matters and I do not like that one bit. But thanks for assuming.

Obama is terrible leader.

I agree. Let's hope we can do better next time.

You would do better defending your own beliefs than worry about mine.

I haven't had a problem so far. It's been quite easy, actually.

Please. Progressives lost any ground with me once they started calling me an "Uncle Tom" simply because I wouldn't support Obama.

Bunch of racist, narrow-minded bigots.

You've talked to all progressives and they called you an Uncle Tom? Or are you making a generalized statement based on those that you have dealt with?

It wouldn't be wise to make a vast generalization based on the comments of the few. Otherwise we would have to conclude that all tea party supporters are racist because of the few bigots.

You can agree with that, right?

I've met many racists in my life. The majority of them have been "liberal", "socialist-progressive" types whose arrogance was only superseded by their lack of intelligence.

So my view on those who embrace the progressive mantle is dim, to say the least.

It has been a deliberate at to invite illegals into this country for no other reason than to destabilize our fragile economy.

Anyone who supports Obama or his actions might as well have pulled the trigger on the weapon that killed that poor woman.

I had a bit of respect for you , until this post. Racists comes from all walks of life and this posts proves that you only wish to project an agenda, instead of truth.

You even threw in socialist to take a shot at me. Didn't think I'd notice?

Try this with someone else because I am not dumb enough to fall for such garbage.

True, you post bull# to be popular on ATS.

Are you actually going to say for the record that the majority of racists are Leftists?

Spare me. I'm as popular as a herpes sore on a prom date to many here.

And it has been my experience that there are more racists and more race-baiters, more people obsessed with race on the left rather than the right.

Race is a tool used to promote agendas as seen all too often.

Look at the illegal issues.

Look at La Raza promoting illegal issues.

Interesting. Now you are backing away from your original assertion.

The majority of them have been "liberal", "socialist-progressive" types whose arrogance was only superseded by their lack of intelligence

there are more racists and more race-baiters, more people obsessed with race on the left rather than the right.

There are more on the left, or a majority?

The same could be said for the Tea Party nutjobs, but even I am not dumb enough to go as far as to make such an asinine statement.

Race is a tool used to promote agendas as seem all too often.

As you have so well illustrated. I couldn't agree more.

Look at the illegal issues.

I agree. This thread is about how a republican or conservative is a racist due to his inaction on a murder of a white woman by an illegal, right?

The Meaning of Obama’s Silence

Look at La Raza promoting illegal issues.

Don't tell me that I have to debunk this bull again. Please educate yourself. It's already been covered by many on this site.

Been mine too.

Sure is, and is used quite a bit in identity politics.

Look at the illegal issues.

Truth be told it shouldn't even be an issue.

No one or group is above the law. Except when it comes to illegals.

Let's try to guide this topic back on topic, and a bit further away from political circle-jerking (if that's possible on ATS anymore) - If you want to actually be able to solve problems with illegal immigration and violence, you will have to do a bit more research on the topic outside of pop-culture news sites. Illegal immigration isn't some leftist conspiracy to destabilize our economy - that notion is absolutely ridiculous, and nothing but political baiting.

Illegal immigration into the United States through Mexico exploded in the early 1980's - what was the cause for so many people in South America and Mexico to suddenly decide they were willing to leave everything behind, risk their lives, and travel to an unknown country?

Illegal Immigration has been a pretty big political talking point from both sides of the US political spectrum, but neither side are interested in actually solving the problem - illegal immigrants, and low wage immigrants are an important part of our economy at the moment, and people of every political demeanor exploit this labor force.

This is much more a greed, corruption, incompetency problem then a left-right caused problem. The border is controlled by the Cartels - human trafficking/ drug trafficking are huge rackets - TONS of money to be made. Where you have TONS of hard to trace cash, you have a corrupting influence. Yes - human/drug trafficking would be extremely hard without endemic corruption, and that corruption extends well past the border into the United States.

Is that right ?

Considering there have been 7 anmnesties in the last 30 years ALL that were suppose to fix the 'problem'.

www.numbersusa.com...

Considering the last potus tried to fix immigration, and the left wouldn't have none of it.

Bush’s immigration effort fell short in the spring of 2006. Republicans resisted on one side, and on the other, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Democrats refused to grant him any capital on issue as the solidified their inroads with Hispanic voters.

www.washingtonexaminer.com...

What I find funny is the people who block Bush were the same people who took power in 2009 and did NOTHING until 2015.

This is much more a greed, corruption, incompetency problem then a left-right caused problem. T

It's very much a right left thing. Mostly the left ignoring the law. Hell that have had 7 chances to 'fix' immigration.

And the truth is The left doesn't want immigration 'fixed'.

Hell the right tried YEARS AGO with GW, Tried again under Reagan but then again the Democrats screwed Reagan.

Then Clinton came along passed his amnesties. To no avail.

All our issues are right/left.

Ever single one.

It's a left right issue to those who don't wish to delve any deeper beyond popular political talking points spouted by the media - there are plenty of independent research avenues, but it's much easier to have your opinion and knowledge preformed for you by a popular media outlet you culturally identify with. You are so blinded by propaganda that you can only see black and white, or rather red and blue, when there are so many more shades out there, you just refuse to see them.
