Has Nancy Pelosi commented? What is HER solution?

You don't want to know.

“Last week, in San Francisco, our city suffered our own senseless act of gun violence with the killing of Kathryn Steinle, and our thoughts and prayers are very much with her family. Today, we must do more as a nation to prevent dangerous people from getting easy access to guns.

The law that says people have to knock on this houses door, and ask for permission to come in, then get in line like the rest of the law abiding people.

Also called immigration LAW.

I just have to expand on this.

1. ILLEGALS are by LAW not allowed to own firearms or possess them.

2. Being a mutliple felon prevents any person from owning firearms.

So Pelosi as usual does not know what the hell she is talking about.

One would think she/they would do more to prevent dangerous people from entering this country.

Are we talking about everyone coming through or just the criminal elements?

Where is the outrage for the average of 40 murders that take place in the US everyday? Is it because most of those murders don't pertain to relevant political issues? Are those murders less relevant because they don't expound political talking points?

The people who commit those crime are actually taken to court, and spend time in jail.

Not caught, and released for political gain.

BIG DIFFERENCE.

You do know that dangerous people can not do anything dangerous without a gun...geez...

There have been NUMEROUS occasions in which violent criminals were apprehended, released, and then they went on to murder someone. Immigration policy and partisan politics aren't going to solve the horrific murder rate of the US.

As soon as you said Fox News and Megyn Kelly, I tuned out.

That's your problem.

My problem is the Big3 free networks haven't questioned Obama yet.

Why IS that?

Sure enough like that illegal who murdered Kathryn Steinle.

It is due to partisan politics that she is no longer alive.

There should be no such thing as 'sanctuary' cities, or policies. Again that's due to partisan politics.

Oh that's rich indeed !!!

Especially since the gun apparently came from a Federal agent !!!

So she would take all guns from Federal agencies too !!!!!!

Excellent question !!!!

What *HAS* the Obama Administration been doing for the last 6 and a half years ???????

Oh wait. They've been allowing illegal immigration and releasing thousands of illegal immigrant criminals.

All by Executive "Privilege" and general incompetence.

That I hadn't heard.

A gun belonging to a federal agent was used to kill a 32-year-old woman on a San Francisco pierlast week, reports revealed Tuesday as Hillary Clinton called out the city for releasing the suspect from jail in April.

I am even more disgusted.

And again, a certain population are taking an isolated murder, politicizing it, while ignoring the vast majority of murders that take place every day, across the country - if the death of this innocent women was what really mattered, and not the political connotation of her death, there would be more outrage at the violence that surges across our country - but no-one cares because the narrative would be much different then the emotion based us-vs-them story the media wants to feed us.

Plus, this shooting actually passes the sniff test at ATS? An illegal immigrant, high on sleeping pills, finds a federal agent's gun wrapped in a t-shirt in a trash can, and shoots this women (accidentally? purposefully? For what motive? I can't seem to find anything considering that, as most articles seem to trail off on political issues, or don't provide any info beyond the fact that Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez shot her, but don't list the circumstances beyond Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez being high, finding the fed's gun, and shooting Kathryn Steinle).

Edit- I now see in Neo's link, that Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez claims it was an accidental shooting, and that the gun went off when he grabbed it from the trash can. If the gun was stolen in a car burglary, I wonder if it was used in a prior crime, as stolen guns are worth money on the streets, and it'd make no sense to steal a gun from a car, wrap it in a t-shirt, and throw it in a trash can, unless it was involved in another crime that could be traced through that gun.

This whole story is odd and I am waiting for facts to come out before I choose to form an opinion.

What I don't like is that this horrible incident is being used to trumpet the same ole narrative about how illegals are bad, and of course we can't let any good crisis go to waste without using it to bash Obama. But they tell us it's all because they are so concerned about this woman and how she met her end.

Please.

It is insulting to the intelligence of ATS members that we are expected to buy this garbage of an argument. If they want to bash Obama, fine...do it. But don't use the death of another human being to grind your political ax.

Do you wait for the facts in other cases or only when the facts might make you face some uncomfortable realizations about what you might prefer to believe about your political ideology?

Did you wait for Facts with Freddy Gray, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Dylann Roof, Adam Lanza?

What facts are you waiting for here? We know he was here after being deported 5 times. We know ICE asked for him to be detained. We know the city refused to comply, so he was free. We know he shot her point blank after these previous facts.

Where or why he had the gun is immaterial to the fact that he shouldn't have been on the streets for us to have to parse through those facts in the first place.

I do my best to reserve judgement until it's clear what happened, yes.

This incident has nothing to do with political ideology. That was the point of my post. Some people will use anything and everything to take pot-shots at those they politically disagree with. I think it's petty and sad. That's what you did in your post:

If Obama had a daughter, she would not be Kathryn Steinle. What does Obama care about the random murder of a typical white woman?

He only cares about the murders of black people whom he can claim might be his sons.

Was this post meant to intelligently start a dialogue on violence or illegal immigration? I think not. You used the death of a fellow American to grind your political ax and to make this about race.

Pretty sad if you ask me.

Did you wait for Facts with Freddy Gray, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Dylann Roof, Adam Lanza?

Yes I did. Thanks for asking.

Where or why he had the gun is immaterial to the fact that he shouldn't have been on the streets for us to have to parse through those facts in the first place.

Agreed. Now please explain what this had to do with Obama and race?
