Sam Raimi's television follow-up to the cult horror classic The Evil Dead is starting to feel a little more un-dead. Uh, alive, that is. The 10-episode series just got its first trailer, and it's a doozy.

Bruce Campbell's Ash is back in action as a zombie hunter, doing insane things like starting a chainsaw with his teeth, using strange metaphors to make a point, and really, just making one big bloody mess. To anyone who's seen the original movie, this will sound just about right. Lucy Lawless will also appear in the series as a naysayer who thinks Ash is responsible for the Evil attacks.

The series will premiere on Starz on October 31st (that's Halloween) at 9PM.

Cannot wait for this!

Try watching Army Of Darkness...

That film kinda solidified that it was meant to be a comedic franchise of films...

Rather than just a gorefest.

AOD is hilarious.
& once you see it you appreciate Evil Dead a bit more for its comedy.

maybe i watched it too late.

someone i knew kept telling me how awesome aod was and was up my ass to watch it.
i watched it and thought it sucked.

might be one of those situations where had i seen it when i was younger when it first came out then i would like it

Sacrilege, my dear friend Mugly.
How dare thee.

Nah I guess we all have our preferences.

Did you watch is as a comedy or a horror film...
Because as a horror film, it is pretty awful.

OT, this show might just be a little bit of what I like...
The rehash of Evil Dead was so stupid, unfunny and flawed I vowed never to watch a new version or sequel again.

Bruce Campbell is worthy of a watch though.

Me too, on both counts.

Bruce Campbell is just wonderful. Did you ever see Bubba Ho Tep ? that was a real gas.

I loved that movie. How about The Adventures of Briscoe County, Jr.? That was a great show, too.

I think it was PS2. It was a fun game but I never finished it.

It would make a good game with current tech if they re-did it or maybe wait till the whole holo visor tech hits.

Oh yes I loved that show, usually whenever there is something I really like on TV it never lasts very long. And I loved Lord Bowler.

I never watched Burn Notice enough to get into it, maybe one of these days I'll revisit the series, just because of Bruce Campbell.

Burn Notice is a bit hard to get into. It takes a few episodes. Did you know that he's on one X Files episode? He's also on all three Spiderman movies and on Escape from LA. On that one he plays the surgeon general of LA. You can hardly tell it's him though because of the makeup effects.

I popped on Army of Darkness last night for the first time in 15 years.....
What a funny flick. Caught myself laughin out loud many times.
Looking forward to this.

Also looking forward to the new tv series Dead rising.
Based on the video game of the same name.
