Thanks for adding nothing to the conversation. You could have tried something along the lines of, would not the War on Terror be a world war of sorts? Or perhaps with current population trends in the northern and southern hemisphere we could see some sort conflict do the lack living space in the south and lots of room in the north. You could have tried that but, you did not. You see while a world war is not possible today in the future it might be. That however does not justify calling a regional conflict a world war. So the forum name is fine. And I will get involved in whatever conversation I please.

My personal belief is that we won't see another world war like the two previous world wars. In today's time the world is so much more connected with technology for example the Internet and cell phones. Europe was a lot different back then as compared to present time where Europe in now pretty much one country with the EU and all that

Not only that but with communication technology these days so many of us are friends or know someone from other countries. I can't recall the amount of different nationalities I have spoken to and met over the last 15 years. Also travel is another thing, tourism has boosted ten fold since the last world war with the introduction of airliners etc

What I'm tryin to get at is the world has developed so much now that if it came to a world war like the previous two a lot of people are going to be pissed off at their governments so much so that the support of going to war will be far less than the support during the last two wars

If a third world war did kick off I Belive it will be a cyber war .. But then again I know nothing

After reading how Patriots misssles were hacked just can't wait now for China to bomb Russia using one of American missiles and make it look like it was America who started this hell. On the other hand west is cash cow for China and I rather choosed bad example.

It used to be 'land' grabs, or as you stated the natural resources another country had agricultural,(ports) oil; people to enslave. Has any of that changed? YES. Not so easy to invade another country without the world noticing; but there is that problem with Russia invading the Ukraine (no one cares) or the middle east (let them fight it out). China hacked us; but there is nothing in any bill YET that says that would be an act of war that could be acted upon; we retaliate with an equally mutual destructive HACK? Give it time; the availability of information will undermine the bad regimes. It happened with the Soviet Union. The middle east is another story (religious/secular tribal wars) not old fashioned communism/fascism/socialism.

Ask the Irish who grew up with the TROUBLES, they became immune and adapted. It was patrolled and controlled. That is what kept the majority safe. What if no one came to your aid.
I think you give too much credit to the powers that be. They can control wars, switch sides, back the winner but when we reach TIPPING POINT and come for them . We are then instigating the new FINAL SOLUTION.
It will happen within months of reaching the tipping point, not generations.
Question is how close is TIPPING POINT. what is the straw that breaks the camels back. Make no mistake they have already planned, trained and tested the FINAL SOLUTION.

I have a wonderful paper wrote by a student who study's the social media, its about the coming war between Muslims and Christians and how its been caused and manipulated by the US shadow government but no point in sending it to ATS the PC MODS would only herniate them self trying to close the thread, but not be fore they let there trolls lose.

I had a very interesting discussion with my business of war and terrorism and economics lecturers along with a few other students 2 of which are Muslim. Both of the lecturers agreed that it will come down to a religious war especially if in the next few years more fanatical groups come to power in a country like Pakistan. The most interesting part was the Muslim students who were born and raised in the UK said they'd support the "Muslim" side as spreading Islam is their duty, along with other hints about western society. Now theese students are good guys and we have all sorts of debates about politics and the wars in the ME but that really threw me.

The problem is people "see" Islam with western "eyes" and expect it to behave according to "our" rules. I think Islam should be seen as a nationality more than a religion, and people should understand that Islam is not only a nationality but also a culture, its an inseparable mixture of both and as such Muslims will always take the side of Islam should any WW civel war start

The system is simple because of the strange idea this site has of the rules that govern MODs,MODs can comment on threads they are not moderating if you "offend" a MOD he tells his other MODs that you are a troll and you get hammered in other threads, stars reduced, threads closed. If you study how MODs here write the words they use it becomes pretty clear that the MOD/Mods here have many different coats. All is not as simple nor as it seems

Of course...you are correct. I should have clarified I meant....the man...not as a mod...is on common ground to all of us when participating as a member.

I felt the sarcasm exhibited was unnecessary considering in the off-mods comment...he still deserved some respect, even when not participating as one.

This is Hogwash logic. More so when these individuals try to spread their religion by the "use of sword". It worked in the middle ages and few hundred years ago but now this demeanor will be and is, met with overwhelming power and resolve.

Guess these entities have nothing else to do so they set about intruding in other people's lives.
