Huge explosion at Italian consulate in Cairo

Saw this just breaking A huge explosion has rocked the Italian consulate in Cairo. There is no word on injuries and no claims of responsibility yet.

Im guessing ISIS.

That looks like it was caused by a fairly large explosion. I wonder if the Italian consulate was specifically targeted or if it was an act of opportunity.

As if the Egyptian tourist trade needed another hit, now how many billions will we have to send them to make up for it.

G-Dammit, enough is enough from these thugs.

I don't care who's funding them, there HAS to be some Western nations with enough compassion to step in and end this madness before it spreads to our doorsteps.

Italians are catholics. Catholic and italian means Vatican. And we all know that Vatican is the needle in the eye to this lunatics. There is no religion that muslims hate the most than catholicism. I don't know if it's a inferiority complex or something else but in my experience, muslims take anything but catholicism. I guess the memory of crusades is still alive in their subconsciousness

Daesh has claimed responsibility for the bombing:

"Soldiers of the Islamic State in Cairo were able to detonate a parked booby-trapped vehicle laden with 450 kg (990 pounds) of explosives at the headquarters of the Italian consulate,"
the SITE Intelligence Group quoted an IS tweet as saying.
"We advise Muslims to stay away from these security dens, because they are legitimate targets for strikes of the mujahedeen."
