Reports are suggesting that Dylann Roof, the man accused of the mass murder of Church Goers in Charleston, should not have been able to own a gun.
The system that checks backgrounds of potential gun owners seems to have failed dismally.

I can't see that this has been posted previously. Apologies if it has been so.

Pff...

"But he said the charge was either incorrectly entered into a background check system or mishandled by analysts."

Further down,
'This meant the FBI analyst doing the mandatory background check on Mr Roof did not see it. "If she had seen that police report," Mr Comey said, "that purchase would have been denied.'

Gobbldygook, it happened. Talking funny won't change that.

Heads should roll as this was a simple local check not even an national FBI that was over looked. Remember not only is an FBI check needed but the local law enforcement check is to be done too. And as it looks either it was over looked or not done. Someone did not do their job.

Or it was allowed to be a distraction from the things we should be looking at.
