Sometimes it seems that facts are just bumps in the road, to be ignored and rolled over, when the ends justify the means. So it is in this thread.
Read people, read.

Can I just call attention to all the LEFT/RIGHT nonsense in this thread and point out how silly it is that so many of you are slinging the partisan terns around in here????

All of you need to realize that FIRSTLY: Politics is not a flat board. In reality it's more like a sphere, and if you go far enough RIGHT, you end up exactly the same place as the people who went the LEFT way round; and that place is known as TOTALITARIANISM.

And SECONDLY: RIGHT / LEFT varies IMMENSELY from country to country. In general many European conservative parties might be considered leftists here in the US. But then you have "leftist" parties in many countries around the world who embrace religion, or have religious titles in the party name. Or conservative parties in some countries who wouldn't dream of reducing socialist benefit systems.

So let the partisan BS talk go please.

Well, what would you prefer, a return to the far right of facism?

Fire up the ovens, dissent is illegal there, too.

It doesn't matter which side you are on, the people are all on one side oppressed by their government. The EU is a failed common currency experiment. Blaming it on people is a distraction.

the left and right once again vary from country to country. One mans left is another mans centrist. It varies so in truth there are many sides.

The people with the money (banks) and the people whose money is being held by the banks.

The ATMs are closed. Whose money is that?

ETA: Sorry, I was talking about Greece and the EU in general. Off topic, this thread is about spain. They'll get their turn n the banks closed breach.

This is sad. I have ported this beautiful country several times, visited the Basque region and the mountains on my days off. A friendly place, full of life, obviously back then there where things that needed to be attended to but this is sad.

I witnessed the totalitarian regime in Hungary while the Sovjet ruled and have been oppossed to this kind of opression ever since.
What do the Spaniards say? How are they handling this?
Good catch OP.

Looks like Spain is preparing for their default as well.

Default? Hasta la vista democracy! Friggin 'conservative' Neocons...
This Junta in Madrid is one of the reasons why the Catalan are going to secede.

But I don't think we will see this Rajoy ruling a second time, not after all this crap. Just a desperate move to contain Podemos after this referendum in Greece, but a big slap in the face of the free people in Spain.

Getting a little bit hot here in Europe, I need more Pop-Corn!

Conservatives ruined the last bits of economy with their usual austerity-craps.
It's payback-time for the mess they created since 2011.

All these people fighting about the left and the right ..... they run both sides. Evil sits atop this earthly pyramid and none below know the whole plan... we play checkers while they are playing chess 10 steps ahead.

Yup, as usual you have absolutely nothing to offer or counter-argue, so you throw another inane comment in and run away. Your playbook is becoming old.

What does that have to do with left or right? Anyway I personally dont believe in using a bank. BECAUSE of this crap and they can"borrow" your money indefintely.

Spot on! And that is exactly why Podemos had such a successfull start in 2014. Hopefully they will deliver at last...

Don't get me and my avatar wrong here!
But Spain was simply not ruled by the lefties since 2011. Which also proves your point, as disinfo was able to obfuscate this matter for a while and led straight into another hot cold flame war.

Are we entertained?

It seems to follow a set pattern, like everyone is fairly happy, then because money makes money, the ones with more of the stuff end up with most of what is in circulation. This causes a majority to be pissed off and then the revolts and suppressive laws start . In the end the money has clumped so tightly around the small top percent, that they haven't that many people left to police the laws . The Cops and army finally turn on them so a new distribution system starts and, the cycle starts all over again. Not withstanding a good war or two to kill off a good many to slow the cycle down a generation, or create the illusion of wealth during a reconstruction. I suspect, since we cant have a nuclear exchange, we will have to wait for the numbers game to play out.

During the first world war , it became a real worry that German and British troops formed an Xmas ceasefire, especially at the time the Russians withdrew, and started the Soviet Union. Note that after it ended, the twenties were pretty great, because they didn't want a Socialist world, which they would have had if money wasn't invented for the average Joe. But predictably it didn't last long, and the working class had to be put back in their place during the thirties depression. Only to be repeated all over again in the Second world war, with the roaring twenties replaced by the booming fifties, and so on. I think we are now past the stage where the workers have to be put back in their place. Next few years could be interesting.
