His former manager was arrested for this a few months ago. It's possible that they're just looking for additional evidence against him, and executed this warrant to make sure he wouldn't cover anything up, particularly if they had shared computers / other devices at some point or another.

Let it play out and we'll see if he actually did anything wrong or not.

ok - just to roll out a hypothetical :

if i was involved in child porn - and a businiess subordiniate of mine was investigated for child porn

it would not matter if there was any link between his child porn and mine

a police search would reveal nothing at any address i controlled .

How can they seize evidence (his property) without arresting him? That isn't due process.

A search warrant to search for evidence relevant to a case. What's new about that?

edit:

My question would be "what is the probable cause" for the warrant.

Wife wants half of the earnings...

Calls CPS/911 "i think my husband is looking at child porn, what should I do?

Raied & Chaos ensues .....
Trust me, it'all about $$$$$

FBI agents raided iconic Subway pitchman Jared Fogle’s Indiana home amid a child porn investigation Tuesday.

The 37-year-old was detained in his Zionsville house as a special taskforce removed electronics from the property and took them to a mobile forensics van parked in his driveway, WTHR reported.

Fogle's wife and kids left just before the 6:30 a.m. raid.

He is not under arrest at this time.

Well..this is certainly something I never saw coming. Wonder how fast Subway is going to drop him. I also wonder how many kids will come forward with abuse charges. It always amazes me how someone that is practically a household celebrity of sorts can do something like this and get away with it.

Hey mate, will the bandwagon be coming back any time soon?
And is there room for me on it also?

It's not an alternate reality it's called real life. To be a celebrity you must be a sociopath with a god complex which in turn leads you to perversions more easily with all the available resources. Bill Cosby and this Jared guy won't be the last celebrities arrested for some sick perverse habit.

What you call rambling I call pointing out a logical inconsistency in handing of related subjects. Why is it that we have the technical ability to catch almost all predators and yet we choose to practice an approach that only catches the occasional celebrity, in a manner that leaves much doubt as to the credibility of accusations? I believe the answer must either lead to a rejection of domestic spying or a radical improvement in public safety, either one being a natural product of a transparent system. What do you believe in? Not asking questions about a system where keeping your head down means your crimes go unseen but achieving recognition carries the risk of imprisonment based on charges nobody's ever really sure about?

If evidence exists, it is in a federal database. I KNOW local law enforcement doesn't have access. My question is why the relevant evidence has not been forwarded in order to achieve search warrants that turn up further evidence which will hold up in court.

So are you just throwing stones because you haven't felt smart since high school debate class or do you actually have a point to make here about how you oppose the right to privacy and yet are against using the information gained to protect exploited children?

What baffles me about this subject in the modern age is that we know for a fact that the U.S. government DOES intercept every single bit of illegal content transmitted electronically within the United States.
Shouldn't the feds be announcing the rescue of hundreds of children and the accidental suffocation of hundreds of offenders during their arrests on a fairly regular basis???

Clearly the feds operate under their own agenda. Everything is political, and they care not about children being abused. If a federal department intercepts and reviews communications from child abusers, and does nothing about it, that would make them an accessory.

So this morning it's all over the interwebs that the FBI 'discovered" (nearly a month later) old texts where he admits to paying $100 for sex with a 16-year old, another franchise employee had complained to the company about it, and they did nothing, at which point, I guess we are to believe she did nothing about it either?
What? Does this sound reasonable to you guys?

nypost.com... tm_medium=SocialFlow

If I suspected someone of that, complained to the co., and they did nothing, I think my next step would be to dial 911.
I suppose she may have and this is what led them to investigate, but that's not how the story goes...

The individual whom had come forward was a franchise owner, who had a sexual relationship with Mr. Fogel in 2008, when she made the complaint to the company. The text messages were transcribed by her attorney. She broke off the relationship when Mr. Fogel started to pressure her to have a threesome with her underage cousin.
Technically since Mr Fogel is not an employee of the company they could do very little, but they should have terminated their relationship with him then.
She then entered am agreement with subway to not participate in any ad program with Mr Fogles image in her restaurant.
One point to take into account, the age of consent in Indiana is 16, so even though it is reprehensible for a man of his age to have sex with a 16 year old it is not illegal in that state.
Things are not looking good for him right now.

Thanks for clearin that up/update, appreciate the info. The post article didn't say as much and I didn't get back to looking at others today...
Well 16 may be legal (and yes also reprehensible for a man of his age as you stated,) prostitution is NOT.

The part about him technically not being an employee sounds legit as well. I can see some corporate office-jockey taking the call from the franchise owner, being totally caught off-guard, and just telling her there's nothing they could do, likely scared to get involved.

These are pretty big allegations.

Even untrue ones can ruin a persons life.

As someone said until the courts done with him and if guilty then destroy him.
