This warning has just been issued by Sollog.

And this is his full warning.

A Dirty Nuke will soon be detonated in New York City.

Leave New York City NOW if you wish to live.

UK WIZARD:

Whilst his website is full of silly advertisements, everyone needs money to support the hosting etc, even this site does it.

Also if you take time to read his other predictions he is probably the best prophet ever.

I know this thread is going to get some stick off certain members, but this is a good prediction and there is alot of other predictions that tie into this one also.

SHUANYBABY:

He has broadcasted it,check the link at the bottom of my first post out,why those countries are going to be nuked? Read up on the news and other threads in ATS and you should be able to work out,it does makes sense if you take the time and do a little research.

The only good prediction is one that comes true.

I am posting along similar lines to UK Wizard here. How is this a 'good' prediction? Being as it has not come true (even if this is only a matter of time) it cannot be that. It is not a good prediction as in a pleasant one, (I predict that we will all live happily ever after and war will be a thing of the past) so how exactly is this a good prediction?

A dirty nuke in the US would give the Bush administration all the ammo they'd need in waging a campaign to pretty much oust any radical islamic regime in the entire middle east. Furthermore, it'd instantly legitimize anything ever stated by the Bushies about the situation. Still furthermore, it would help galvinize international support for such oustings.

If the terrorists want to go there....it'd be a mighty stupid move on their part, and would basically be signing their death warrant. I can't help but think that they of course realize this, so no, the threat doesn't seem to be all that great of this happening.

Why would you leave New York City now when the first three cities are Israel, Rome, and Washington DC? Also, Israel is not a city. You would think he would be able to tell whether the nuke attack would take place in Tel-Aviv or Jerusalem (not at all likely with the number of Moslem holy landmarks there)...

Oops, looks like he missed on a bunch of predictions in this article in 1997...

citypaper.net...

There's a very good writeup on Sollog in Wikipedia. All of the links at the bottom of the URL posted above reside on the same server.

I dont think the button links are advertisements, because for one normal advertising crap have some generated crap on the bottom and normally use a scripting language - such as _javascript, this is just static HTML. Also note that the URL for the link "Horroscopes" is www.sollog.com - "sollog" which is the same name mentioned in the death note.

This is scary guy's

No its not, it 'sollog', a guy who pretends to be a seer and prophesiser, its not 'scary'.

Also, its stupid. A dirty nuke? Doesn't 'sollog' mean a 'dirty bomb'? IE a regular bomb with some radioactive material inside of it, that just throws around some of the debris. You wouldn't need to 'evacuate' NYC to survive that. Hell, if the actual bomb (like a pipe bomb) doesn't hurt you, you practically have nothing to worry about.

And is comming 'soon'? When? When's soon? A day? Week? Year?

,everyone needs money to support the hosting etc

No they don't, not advertising hosting anyway. THere's no reason, that I know of, to think that that site is associated with the so called 'sollog' anyway.

For some reason this reminded me that, the only way anyone is even going to know hat it was a dirty bomb is if the various devices and radiometers set up in the noted cities actually detect radiation and the administration in those cities announces it.

Sollogs sole claim to fame is a supposed prediction of 911, posted to usenet. The post is sitting there, at least up until recently. I vaguely recall it, it didn't say 'suicide bombers crash plane into NY and the Capitol and one plane crashes en route', but it did make mention of 9s or 11s and an attack or somesuch. Vague stuff, not as vague as predictions normally are, but still quite vague.

A dirty bomb is really only dangerous to those located within the blast as the radioctive material is not dispersed that well. Plus, with decontamination procedures now in place we could clean this up pretty effectively. Thankfully, it would probably be pretty difficult to transport any kind of radiocative material into a downtown area of a major city without setting off some kind of sensors. What does worry me though, is how the press will run with this and cause complete terror with the words "radioctive contamination".

I guess Sollog is jumping on the DHS bandwagon with fear tactics. How many absolutely great opportunities have these boogeymen missed so far? Thanksgiving, Christmas, 9/11 Anniversarys? Jeeze, weve went what four years without an attack after that one lucky shot? If they were going to do it, I think it would have already happened by now. They got us with a sucker punch, and for once I think we may have figured out how the game works rather than sitting around with out fingers up our butts, as it seems we've gone a good while now without any real attacks....but plenty of scares, seems like almost one 'warning' per month lately.

markjaxson it is not only advertisment it's a huge circle of ad-pages.
Just look at this:

www.247news.net...

It's a common technique in the internet nowadays and turns out nice profit for those who do it but please: stop posting those pages here. It is ad-scam

Just to sell merchandising, earn by ad-traffic and to promote his own business: www.adonidesigns.com...

Can't we have a URL ban on ATS for such scammers?

actually, sneaking a dirty bomb into NYC might not be as difficult as people had originally thought. seems the detectors that were put in place to thwart just such an attack have been set off by people with some frightening regularity. there was an article here a short while ago that spoke of people setting off the sensors. we are apparently becoming a radioactive society thanks to medical procedures, among other things.

Okay, guys.

Within one week, when no "dirty nuke" has gone off in NYC, Rome, or Israel, can we please NEVER EVER AGAIN post another Sollog prediction, EVER?

For the love of God, he's done this dozens of times.

Crakeur, this is true that we are becoming a radioactive society but what people don't realize is that the amount of radiation that these people give off is actually very minimal. In fact, in most cases, the "energy" given off is extremly low. If these monitors are that sensitive to pick up such low levels of activity then they will definitely pick up the levels of radioactive iodine, molybdenum, thallium, etc. that would make up a dirty bomb.

If people were encased in lead suits or other types of shielding that might apply, but 'dirty bombs' can be sealed in radiation sheilding materials. The actual explosive itself would probably be more easily detectable (in some ways anyway).

And I think its important to keep in mind that there isn't going to be anything noticable about a radiologic bomb. Its intent is purely terror. If one went off near you, you wouldn't even be able to distinguish between it and a regular bomb, and presumably you'd be running away from the area and might not even have to worry about significant contamination.

Infact, the bomb needs very very little radioactive material, just enough to set of the detectors designed to detect them.

In a strange sort of perverse sense, it might be better to just shut down any detectors that are only there for determining if a radiological dirty bomb has been used.
