Possible Shooting at Walter Reed Medical Center

This is my first time posting a new topic, but I work in the VA and just got an email alert that there may be an unconfirmed shooter at the Walter Reed / Bethesda Naval Medical Center area right now. Have not received any updates and haven't seen anything on the news yet.

Has anyone else seen / heard anything?

Almost no info so far. Isn't even a confirmed shooting yet.

Or another false report like they had at the Navy Yard over the weekend.

In the Washington Navy Yard report, Fox News even had two shooters reported... one white, one black. All retracted later.

All I could find ATM...Police check report of 1 shot fired at Walter Reed hospital

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Police say they are checking on a report of a single shot fired at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center outside Washington.

Montgomery County police spokeswoman Natasha Plotnikov says a 911 caller reported hearing one shot inside Building 1, the original hospital on the campus in Bethesda, on Monday morning. She says police are on the scene checking the report.

Local television coverage shows police cars parked by the building and people walking away from the building.

Police tweeted that they have not confirmed the report of a shot, but they are sending additional officers.

Walter Reed officials could not immediately be reached.

Looks like employees are being evacuated. Police searching buildings, still no confirmation of an actual shooting.

Firecracker maybe?

Federal LE source told a local reporter a stand-down order has been given. Building search is almost complete and no indication of shots fired or a shooter has been found.
