Being a christian and a homosexual goes against Biblical scriptures.
So effing what?

It is for the best to let God sort these issues out and move along.

Since "God" apparently already has, and doesn't give a rat's ass about it (having better things to do) ----- actually, it is best for you to leave other people alone. Any "God" that exists has already established that some of "the Creation" is homosexual, and frankly, seems perfectly FINE with it.

Why can't you be?

Right now the world's attention is focused on gays right to marry.
This same attitude can be compared to Nero playing the fiddle
while Rome burned!

Right now the world's attention is focused on gays right to marry.

Why?

Why isn't it focused on peace, and equality, and live-and-let-live? Why isn't it focused on alleviating suffering and starvation and homelessness around the globe? Why isn't it focused on getting RID of radical extremist religious types?

Oh wait....... it is.

You just don't want to listen to THAT part of what's going on in 'the world'.

One day, very soon, you and others will be faced with a world
you won't recognize or like. You won't have any of the rights
you think you are entitled to.You will be doing good if you are
even allowed to live.
So,I am focusing MY attention on more important issues other
then "gays" right to marry! Nothing you or anyone else can say
will ever change my mind.

Why is that?

I'm not following you.

Are you suggesting God's Wrath will destroy us? Muslim law will overcome us? The United States is expanding freedom right before they take it away?

Why is it that we won't enjoy our rights for long?

WHY would they?
Polygamy is what THEY would prefer anyway, if they followed their native roots .
IN fact I predict THAT push will come RIGHT behind it.
I could care less about two people forming a legal relationship ,nor would I care about them forming their own bassis of faith.
I have to be ASKED if I'm a Christian I don't SHOVE it peoples face it is my choice and I respect others.
I do not demand they stop doing anything that doesn't intrude on me.
When they demand that I comply with their customs, faiths or lifestyle choices ,or my kids ( I never had any) I would HALT it right there,as they are attacking MY freedoms.

Just ask about a CERTAIN florist or a certain BAKER in Oregon ,who are getting burned for denying thier customer based on faith, due to the state's antidiscriination laws and HOW they are forced to comply.

A six figure fine (how did the gay couple have six figures worth of damages) and a gag order so they cannot even talk about the case. How is that not Nazi-esque fascism?

To make sure that my post is not considered a direct threat of violence to
any particular person on this thread I am doing a thread reply...

I wish that the only problem we would face in the future is growing old.I
wish people would work together and get right with God and His Word.I
have never threatened anyone here ever, not even in joking.I am not a
threat to anyone for warning them what is about to happen soon. You all
have to live your life the way you want it I have no right to judge you for
it.
A time is coming that will bring terrible judgement on people for their sinful
ways and lifestyles.Christians are not really a threat to your lifestyle choices,
they are yours to make. You can't force people of faith to accept your choices
as being normal and acceptable. They are not acceptable and are considered
an abomination in the Lord's eye.
I have noticed that this thread has been directed down the path of gay marriage.
I don't know if I am responsible or someone else.I leave you all to your fate and
do wish you the best.

It's just that people get tired of hearing this same old song and dance year after year after year. It gets tiring being told that you are an awful person and will pay in the next life for some things that a particular religion disagrees with. Usually such things start to offend people. So whether you mean to attack anyone or not is irrelevant, you are doing it with your bizarre insistence on pushing Christian doom porn on everyone for every little grievance they do that you don't like.

As for your comment about Christians not being a threat to someone's lifestyle choices, don't kid yourself. There are people from just about every demographic who is a threat to some other demographic. YOU may not want to use your religion to hurt another demographic (say LGBT), but that doesn't mean that there aren't a good many Christians who DO want to use it for such.

Here's a thought, instead of worrying constantly about condemning and looking down on the people you disapprove of, how about vetting your own religion of the false believers? I'm sure God would be WAY more disappointed with them instead of a bunch of people diddling others of the same gender. At least that's what -I- would do if -I- were god. After all, aren't not using god's name in vain and not holding false idols two of the Ten Commandments? The ULTIMATE laws of god? The anti-sodomy sins are just random Israelite decrees.

I don't understand the gag order.

But people don't seem to understand today it is Christian bakers, ten years from today the shoe could be on the other foot.

The freedom lost by one group can be lost by all.

I agree, but there is a growing element that would (to use your premise) punish mosques financially until they started serving bacon and booze at their mosques.

That's true, why are the Christian churches being singled out?

Do Mosques allow gay weddings?

Your analogy is so badly flawed it's hard to know where to debunk first.

1. You're comparing an option to a prohibition- Giving a non christian the option of "sinning" is the exact opposite of banning a non Muslim from "sinning". This shows the denial at work in the Christian right: they don't make the connection between two backwards religious laws because they believe their religion is special and that other religions are counted among secularists.

2. The SCOTUS didn't order anyone to change what they do in consideration of homosexuals. Again the opposite, they specifically ordered people NOT to change what they do in consideration of sexuality. If a gay guy asks me for a wedding cake I can tell him I don't want anything to do with a gay wedding. Because unlike a baker who wastes valuable time screening and turning away people who answered his open offer given in writing to provide wedding cakes in exchange for US currency, I wouldn't be going out of my way to make it harder for them to exercise their rights and thereby undermining the basic premise of our economy- that if you do work in our economy you can redeem the paper they give you for the products of our economy.

Ok you're one of the good ones but why don't you people take control of your community and tell these out and out flamboyant over the top Jesus freaks to just tone it down, because my gay friends don't rub it in people's faces and they don't oppose your right to be Christians, until they find out you're Christians, and really so many of your friends have been so aggressive about it that they just ruined it for everyone and now we've got to have a big political fight over who is normal and who needs to hide.

See how that works?
