But they upheld the Constitution, they didn't add or take away anything...

As far as just his statement "Today is some of the darkest 24 hours in our nation's history." i think it's disrespectful and i would be embarrassed. this has nothing to do with Left or Right or Liberal Or Conservative, if he actually believes his statement than it reflects his true colors and his own intolerant views

Didn't Robert's say, "The Constitution didn't have anything to do with it?" or something similar?

Not that I care. Everyone should have the right to be happy/miserable, but according to Roberts the Constitution had nothing to do with the decision....

Think about that.......

Citizens United is what politicians should be horrified at regarding a SCOTUS decision

Yes.

And that's why I support Bernie Sanders.
Corporations are not "people."

Nah. I am really PO'd.
Not at any members here. I like fun.
I can't make a thread about it. I already did. They put in the trash bin.
If I write another thread, they will do it again.
The only option I have is filing a complaint, and that will not help.
It has helped me learn something very interesting about ATS though.

Your world is obviously Black and White!

Good luck!

The Constitution is what the SCOTUS is supposed to uphold. Yet we have one of them make such a statement?

Like I said, gay couples should have the same right as heterosexuals couples to be happy/miserable.

So are you saying the Constitution is only okay when it falls into the aisle of your political church?

Lol. Every time you respond to one of my posts you create a new and interesting straw man.

"Let's burn this Bioch down?"

The last time I said anything close to that I was probably 17 and talking about a joint.

Screw compromise, WE ARE RIGHT, YOU ARE WRONG?

I'm all for compromise where comprise is warranted but there are times when compromise isn't always appropriate. Would you say it's a fair compromise with the anti-gun crowd to keep your right to bear arms but outlaw ammunition? No? OH WELL WHAT ABOUT COMPROMISE!?

There's no need to compromise when it comes to equal protection for all people of basic civil rights. Nice try.

Ah, but to Cruz it is a "dark day"

Had you been alive when Dred Scott had been announced would you not have said the same thing?

Everyone doesn't have to agree with everyone else. Hell, we don't even have to like one another. We are just not allowed to break the law and society functions.

Some people want laws passed to make it a requirement that they be liked and accepted by all and it's never going to happen.

It's Augustus, not Xu. And the fort isn't big enough to accommodate anybody else, because Beez brought a ton of cookies.
