Liberal vs conservative values...not necessarily politics.

Hey. I wasn't the one that started with the political assumptions about the opposite sides of the political spectrum during a zombie apocalypse.

Though I must say, I did read a Zombie Manga called Zombie High School where the main characters encountered a bunch of anti-gun people who wanted to try to find a cure for zombism instead of just shooting them. They also tried to confiscate and destroy the main characters' guns. They ended up being eaten.

I read a book where there was a zombie outbreak in Houston after a hurricane. It was due to some kind of rabies/viral infection, so a bunch of tree-huggers argued that the victims weren't really dead and therefore couldn't be shot. So after the first book, they walled in Houston with the predictable happening for book two.

usually when God did something like this the word "iniquity" can be found somewhere in the story...
iniquity-

: the quality of being unfair or evil

: something that is unfair or evil

it's amazing how today it's always interpreted to mean "evil" or sin and the unfairness that seemed to run rampant in the ancient societies are always overlooked if not preserved.

But you love cops...

Oh, well, you should be familiar with this argument - I generally take nuanced view of law enforcement.

Top Ten US States (GDP per Capita ,or PPP)

1 Delaware (D)
2 Alaska (R)
3 North Dakota (R)
4 Connecticut (D)
5 Wyoming (R)
6 Massachusetts (D)
7 New York (D)
8 New Jersey (Mixed)
9 Oregon (D)
10 Washington (D)

(D) 6 (R) 3

Top Ten American Major Metropolitan Areas (GDP per capita, or PPP)

1 New York–Northern New Jersey–Long Island, NY–NJ–PA (D)
2 Los Angeles–Long Beach–Santa Ana, CA (D)
3 Chicago–Joliet–Naperville, IL–IN–WI (D)
4 Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown, TX (Mixed)
5 Washington–Arlington–Alexandria, DC–VA–MD–WV (D)
6 Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington, TX (R)
7 San Francisco–Oakland–Fremont, CA (D)
8 Philadelphia–Camden–Wilmington, PA–NJ–DE–MD (D)
9 Boston–Cambridge–Quincy, MA–NH (D)
10 Atlanta–Sandy Springs–Marietta, GA (Mixed)

(D) 7 (R) 2

Seems that the Democrats control the most prosperous US States (6 to 3) and the most prosperous US Metropolitan areas (7 to 2).

Now, if you consider Democrats "liberal" and Republicans "conservative" ... or not ... that's another matter.

By the way, Norway (6th), Switzerland (8th), always in the world top ten by GDP/PC or PPP. Two of the most liberal countries in the world.

(Red is the liberal color everywhere but in the US, go figure.)

THat change was made in the early '80s when it used to be traditional to trade red and blue back and forth every election cycle, but then someone decided that since red was also the color associated with Communist countries and communism, it was convenient to just leave the GOP with red.

... given the morphing beliefs of the Democrat party and platform and their drift toward collectivist policies, I wonder why that might have been?

Yes, noting that most of the world uses "red" as a liberal color was the most important part of my post ... thanks for noticing!

This thread has become amusing.

I personally fear for liberals during the zombie apocalypse.

With their big brains and all, they'll be prime targets. Sadly they won't have any guns either. . .

lolz

I fear for all of you. Us socialists have more guns than all of you combined with the training to use them AND big frickin' brains.

Fear us!

Socialists only get guns when they've confiscated them.

But you don't have our power... three of us equal half the US population.

Conservatives are responsible for everything though.

Wait, what?

Oh.

Apologies.

We're only responsible when things go wrong.

My bad.

That's when it's especially out fault, when we had nothing to do with it in the first place.

EDIT 1: Might want to check that one. New York is not a dictatorship ... both Guilani and Bloomberg have switched parties as the winds blow. Bloomburg was "Independent" from 2007-2013

EDIT 2: Notice all the BLUE in the last few decades ... Political Party Strength NYC

Socialists only get guns when they've confiscated them.

Or when they purchase them legally from a properly licensed firearms distributor.

It is a common misconception that socialists do not enjoy or believe in the 2nd amendment. Some do, and some don't. It's an individuals right to choose.

You and I have conversed on the topic on a few occasions and you know I am very vocal on that right.

Actually, you're for a reinterpretation of the 2nd, if memory serves.

The introduction of "socialist" elements into the American economy in the 30s saw US become the economic powerhouse of the world for almost 80 years.

Just sayin'
