Honestly, I am back at the university and I can not handle the atrocious interpretation many in adjacent fields hold regarding science. I tutor vector calc (as stated previously on ATS) and many of the business and ESPECIALLY social science majors do not seem to understand this.

"I am going to 'science' the crap out of this or that," . . . kill me now PLEASE!

A platonic study of number should be required for anyone to even graduate from a university. This lack of understanding has infected science and allowed for its meaning to be steered more towards that of engineering. Moreover truth has been usurped by confirmation bias in too many cases . . .

Whatever, I will just blame crap like the *new COSMOS series for supporting such anti-intellectual behavior.
