This is an excellent site. Monitor global earthquakes in near real time. It also does some nifty things like showing the line between day and night across the globe and also seasons. Purple dots represent quakes over the last 5 years but also illustrate how they define the boundaries of the tectonic plates. Thankfully Australia sits in the middle (approximately) of a plate, but there sure is a lot of action on the northern and eastern rims.

You're welcome. I love real time representations such as this. Even just for the day/night line. I hope these are the last of the current quakes, but I will definately check this site each day for a while in case.

but that means that after the big shock 8.5, there were 7 aftershocks, or were they also earthquakes? The seem to be quiet havy too!
